My doctor has recommended that I take 25mg of DHEA twice a day to for wellbeing. Has anyone taken DHEA and if so does it help with energy levels and wellbeing and are there any side effects? jellyjane39264.8558101852I asked the Pharmacist at my work about DHEA and he said to stay away from it because it messes up hormones etc. I have heard it is good for energy and even weight loss! I will watch this post cuz I'm willing to try ANYTHING for energy! kskrause2139264.8527662037 I have had great luck with Provigil.  It is a prescription for fatigue.  It is NOT natural so anyone that is doing a natural therapy this might not be for you.  Provigil is great.  I was on it for a while.  No palpitations, I could still take a nap if I needed it.  Most insurance companies will only pay for it for certain disorders like narcolepsy and sleep apnea.  I know they use if for our military instead of amphetamines.  Maybe with our new insurance they will have it in their formulary.   I take dhea however, my levels in my blood are less than 1/3 what they should be.  I have not noticed any side effects.  It is supposed to help with energy and even sex drive.  It is a type of hormone so not to be taken lightly, did your doctor do any blood work first?
