I have terrible cramp in my calves and behind the knees , also in my feet. There is a tight feeling during the day but when i rest them at night the pain gets worse. I was wondering if it could be the humira or maybe my iron defeciency. I have been doing great since last week and my humira kicked in really well but lat night I was in agony from this crampy feeling

Pin cushion,

This can happen sometimes if you are low in either potassium or salt.  Do you eat bananas or tomatoes?

Chris

I eat a lot of banana's but I do not eat tomato's as they cause my joints to become inflammed. My salt intake is the daily reccomended allowance . I have gone over so many things that it could be.

Thanks for the input.

Take care

Lisa

hi pin
could it be that because the humira kicked in that you did lots more than you would normally do and your muscles are suffering because of it????

anna
Have your potassium and calcium levels checked. These could be low.
Potassium is vital as it is what helps the heart to contract and relax. If this
level gets out of whack, it can also affect your heart. Are you drinking enough water, muscles can cramp if they become too dehydrated.
