NEED A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS.....I HAVE BEEN HAVING BLOODY STOOLS FOR TWO DAYS AND SEVERE PAIN IN MY TUMMY. CALLED MY MD AND HE MADE ME AN APPT RIGHT AWAY. NEVER DEALT WITH ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE. HELP........I'M SCARED.

Can I ask a personal question?
Are the stools black,tarry or red?If black they are coming from up high in stomach down low the blood is red.I have gastrtis and have had black stools a couple of times in the last few months.I take protonix for it.
Something is inflamed somewhere.I think you need to get this checked right away.

They will probably put you on ONE MORE MED for your stomach now !Are you taking something to protect your stomach? I see you are on Mobic and my Rheumy says you must be on something to protect your stomach while taking it. My stepfather also was on Mobic and did not take anything for his stomach and started bleeding badly from his rectum and we found out he had ulcers and his doctor who found the ulcer said it was caused from the Mobic because his other doctor had not prescribed protection for his stomach. Not trying to scare you but I am glad you are getting in to see your doctor and you might want to ask about the Mobic. Take Care.

Never had any bleeding before. Only tummy problem I ever had was the first drug years ago for "some type of arthritis" and it was Arthrotec. It burned my tummy and gave me the "trots" but it worked till I told my dr about the "problems" and he abruptly changed me to Cerlebrex...no problems with it. I took Celebrex for years till it got to where it didn't work anymore. About a month ago I was having horrible headaches and I never have headaches. Rheumy thought it was from Mobic and she tried to change me....three different drugs I tried over two weeks. They burned my tummy like crazy and gave me the "trots." Ended up asking to go back on Mobic. I'm still on it. I'm now on three other NEW DRUGS ADDED WITHIN THE LAST MONTH that might be causing the problem; Zocar for cholesteral and aspirin therapy for heart problems and of course the Provigil for fatigue. Well, DR appt is tomorrow at 10:00. What kind of test will they do??

Sorry to here about bleeding,will be praying.I had to get the scope done about 1 yr ago due to bleeding on regular basis,every time had a bowel movement,large amount of red blood,It was a fissure-I had to stay on a high fiber diet for it to heal,It did,and no more blood,I don't like the sound of pain in stomach,keep us posted,were here for you,as your ALWAYS there for us,Sherry
