No More pred taper | Arthritis Information

I have given up on trapering off the ole pred. I have decided to stay at 2.5mg. I cannot handle the 2.5mg EOD with all this rain and icky weather going on. I might even go back to 5mg until I see another RD, which I am hoping is soon.

No more pred tapering for me.

Have you made an appt with a new doc?

Joonie, 2.5mg isn't much Pred. and if you're uncomfortable because of the weather,  you know your body.  What happened to your RD?  Are you still on Humira?  Lindy

I am going to my new medicaid appointed doctor next monday. I am hoping he will refer me to a new RD. My current RD is old and forgetful. He should not even be praticing still. SO... I am going to see if I can be referred to someone who is younger and listens better and one that will actually do the dreaded blood work every 3 months. My current RD has not done blood work on me since Feb '06.

Anyways... maybe a new RD will have more options for me so I can try to return to work, or at least have some kind of daily life, and make it to where I do not have to worry about if I clean the livingroom, I will not be able to finish it.

Yeah, I am still on Humira, and once I go off pred that is all I will be on is Humira. I do not have any other meds aside from IBU and Naproxen that I take. I hope a new RD will change that for me.

joonie39267.7025462963 Keep on the pred if you are finding you need it.  The weather is so hard on us.  I take pred if I feel real icky with the changing weather.  I have also increased Danielle's pred with the icky weather.  Oh did I tell you guys that my new GP, put me back on 5mg of pred until I get to see my new RD?! Yeah... she felt I was not doing so well with 2.5mg and all this rain.

Yeah I took one last night... I thought hey if I take one now and if it makes me fall asleep, I will wake up in time to watch my show, which was coming on at 2am. So... I took one about 9 and then about midnight or close to it I was knocked out. It took 3 hours to knock me out and then I did not even know it was knocking me out. It was like I just blinked and never opened my eyes again

Well... when 2am rolled around... my hubby woke me up to watch my show. and I did not even feel like opening my eyes to watch it. So... I took the remote and turned off the tv.

I slept pretty good, and my neck feels a little better but probably will feel better if I would take it 4 times a day like it says on the bottle.

It took me a good 2 weeks to get use to taking the LorTabs and not falling asleep after taking them.
