Hi, I have been diagnosed with RA today. After nine months of pain in my hands and feet hopefully I will get sorted out soon. I was given a steroid injection today and it made me feel sick hope this wears off soon. I am pleased I have found this site as I think it will be very helpful. Thanks members

I hope the steroid helps soon and you will be able to get on some other meds to control the disease process.

Welcome to the board!   I hope you will feel better soon.

Steroid injections always make me feel a little nauseated for about 24 hours afterwards.  It will go away tho.  Hope the injection does work for you!

Hi Nicoop,

I'm new here too- with PA. There's so much to get your head around- not least the bewildering array of drug names but there's a lot of support and good advice here from longer standing members and I know you'll be glad you found this site. I know I am.

Best wishes,

Sam

Welcome! I'm fairly newly diagnosed also (march) but everyone here has just been WONDERFUL!! Lots of support and great information!! Are you on any other meds then? My RA is mainly in my hands and feet also...

I look forward to getting to know you!

Someone is always here, so if you need to talk to someone who understands, just sign on. There are a lot of really good people here who will welcome you and be glad to chat with you.

Hope you have a good evening.

Welcome nicoop! Sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis, but glad you found this site. I'm fairly new to the forum also, but have already found it to be a great source of information and support.

Hope the cortisone injection gives you some immediate relief!

Hello Nicoop, welcome to our band of merry arthritis sufferers, well we are merry sometimes and we all get along pretty well, sometimes we have differing opinions but we wouldn't be human if we didn't.  Best of luck, get yourself a good support network if you can and you've always got us!!!!!!  Janie
