Health insurance just got terminated | Arthritis Information

Just got home off the road and opened mail to find and envelope that read health insurance terminated.We are only home every 3 weeks,I didn't pay last months insurance,this month is due in tomorrow.I held off paying it as money was tight due to the truck incident,we had to pay truck bill of 3225.00 up front to truck dealer that fixed the truck,still haven't got money from insurance company.well they sent a notice while we were gone ,they sent it on July,6th,said payment needed to be made by 16th or terminated.I paid bill on 21st while on road UNAWARE it was terminated.I called immediately to talk to the appropriate person ,had to leave a message with 2 people on their voice mail.I hope they call back tomorrow.I NEED MY INSURANCE. We are self employed and have BCBS-at the rate of 645.96 a month for the 2 of us-thats not to mention 40.00 co-pays to RD and all the other co-pays-but need it.I live in NY state.Anyone ever have this done -is there hope to get it back???HELP Sherry

I personally get mine paid through my work, and I'm the office manager so I make sure that bill is paid every month so I have no experience with this problem. Surely to god they can help you get something worked out.

I know how important insurance is...especially to folks like us.

If they accepted your check you probably haven't been cancelled, In the future put it on auto debit to your bank account so it is always paid. NOTHING is more important than your insurance. Keep us posted...hope everything works out ok!!

Sherry, I feel so bad for you. I know how panicked you must feel. Thats one of the worst things that can happen to us. Hopefully, you can work something out with them and get reinstated. Godfrey Daniels, as WC Fields would say. We'll all be worried for you and hopeful of a good outcome.

What a load of your mind!!!!!!!!! I can surely appreicate having health insurance now, since I been dxs with RA and have all kinds of expensive meds to be on. Glad it worked out for you hon.
