I think I rather have stinky breath | Arthritis Information

So... I go into the bathroom to brush my teeth. Well... I figured I would use the Listerine to help loosen this piece of jerky that is stuck between my teeth. I forgot I have a hard time opening the child proof cap and then to boot it is not that easy to lift as it is a BIG bottle of it (family size).

Man... when they say child proof they need to realize they are also making it RA'er proof too I HATE those caps! Our seven year old daughter can open them just fine, but not us!

NancyIf I were you, I'd hide the smaller bottle...that way you'll NEVER have to wash clothes!

Well, have not had to wash clothes in a week or so Oh Joonie, don't start me on child proof caps. Why they put them on meds bottles for people with arthritis and any other hand problems is beyond me. I'm a grown up, I don't have any small kids around and I resent being patronised in this way. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!! LOLYea, why do they do that or please ask the customer.............Jeez

When I transferred my high blood pressure meds to Walmart (the generic program is cheaper than doing it thru my insurance) they had these child proof caps on the bottles that were just impossible!!!  Worst I have seen yet!!  When I went in to pick up my refills I asked the pharmacist to change out my caps from rheumatoid arthritis proof to caps I could open.  I had to actually sign a waiver that says Walmart is not responsible if a kid gets into my meds and passes away or any other harm comes to them.

I like Walgreens caps because you can flip them either way.

Gramma, where do I sign? I wish they did that in the UK. There was still a choice a few years ago and my pharmacist at the time had it on computer that I prefered the grown up caps. Not so anymore! I said "but I don't have children", assistant replied "well, you might have one visiting" Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa'??? Unusually, I was actually speechless!

cheeky mare That is just flippin ridiculous.  You might have one visiting.  And what...you think I am not smart enough to put my meds up out of reach????  Give me a break.

I didn't know that you could not get easy open caps in the UK.  Learn something new everyday I guess.  I don't have a real good understanding of how the government system over there works, but is there like a local representative that you can contact so that something can be done so you can have the easy open caps?  Geeeze....if I couldn't get easy open caps who would have opened my meds for me if no one was home??  Not everyone has a partner or someone at home that can open caps for them.  What in the heck do the elderly do?

joonie
stinkie breath!!  drink more water !!!!
anna

I have a designated pill bottle opener... named Hubby!!

"I think I have rather stinky breath"

Hehe. I was going to recommend brushing your tongue or something!

"Yes, your breath is rather stinky. I think I have rather stinky breath, too."

Well... now my breath smells like milk...

I am fat and got smell breath... 2 strikes against me

I must admit having most meds in blister packs is a bonus they are pretty easy to use.

i am in australia too and the only tablet i have in a child proof bottle is the thyroid one i have to take first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. aahh i dont know about others but my hands work worse in the morning than any other time.
