My wrist hasn't hurt like this since the initial onset.  It's getting worse by the hour. It's making me rethink my I don't really have RA theory.   And it's starting to swell.

How long do your attacks last?

Hugs,

Pip

Well, I've only had one, but it went on for 4 months.  Then I started enbrel and it got better.

Oh, sorry.

Hugs again,

Pip

You're only 23?

I would def. keep an eye on how long this swelling is lasting. In my opinion, if its a reocurring problem, you need to mention it to your doctor, because sad to say, the enbrel may not be doing its job! :( Bummer of an outlook, but the sooner you catch stuff like that, the better. Or maybe you just need a slight increase in the MTX. Or maybe it's just a fluke flare. Either way, keep an eye on it. Sorry you had to deal with it, wrists are always the ones that end up making me whine the most.

I'll THINK that it's okay, and I'll go to bite on something, and WHAM, then I'm stuck there, with a sandwich hanging half out my mouth and a terrible look on my face. *sigh*

I've had the jaw flare and yes it does SUCK!!  I'll never forget the first one 2 years ago when my RD said he didn't think it was a flare and that it was probably TMJ.  I so wanted 5 minutes alone behind a locked door so I could choke the life out of him.

Back to normal?  What's normal?

Oy...I got the Gilligan reference too lol.  So don't feel too bad genesis.

OK...I have never had a flare in my jaw before.  I'm sure Danny wouldn't mind tho lol.  IM JUST KIDDING.  What do you do if your jaw gets stuck???

Sit there and breathe, try to relax your neck, and slooowwwlllyyyyyy either open or close it, whatever needs to be done.

I can honestly say that I HAVE been stuck with a mouthful of food before. And it SUCKS. Mid-chew and you suddenly just can't move your jaw. And Justin still has to ask me what happened, because I also have this habit of biting my lip/tongue/inside of cheek. And that always makes you stop chewing for a few minutes too. I had it in my jaw for two days but I was the opposite... I couldn't open my mouth.  I think my husband enjoyed that flare more than anyone
