Hi to all... AI friends | Arthritis Information

Good Morning.

Hope everyone is feeling well or better and is looking forward to a wonderful summer week.

As you all know, I have a forum geared to having fun..."Sore Joint Cafe"

It has many wonderful forums that are waiting for some good people like yourselves to come by and start posting in.  I won't go into any details about what they are, except for one in particular. "THE PEPPERMINT LOUNGE" Our new Teen Board.  We have also opened the "Peppermint Lounge" to guest (for a limited time) so they can come in and try it out and see if they would like to become a member.  These girls have worked hard and I would love to see their teen board make it.  So if you know any teens 13 and over, with or with out arthritis, please take down our URl and give it to them.

We are pleased to announce the Grand Opening of our new upbeat Teen Board the "Peppermint Lounge". All members who have children or grandchildren 13 and over please have them stop in and check things out. Hosting the "Peppermint Lounge" will be Lil Bladetta and Puddinbri12. They have put in a lot of hard work getting this board up and running so come on in and take a look around and say "Hello"!!!!  http://sorejointcafe.smfforfree2.com

Our teen Moderators are a special group of young teens that are willing to take some of their special time to run a great teen board for all those young teens that sometimes are bored and need a place to go.  We believe that they will do a great job in keeping their board running well.  There are also adult moderators in place to help them out when need be, so it will always be moderated and kept safe for our young teens to use.

For all our members here at AI, I wanted to let you all know that the "Sore Joint Cafe" forum boards will remain open in my absence.  Some of you may not of heard but I have lung cancer and will be operated on tomorrow.  Our wonderful and gracious GrammaSkittles and my wonderful daughter Kambria will be taken over the helm for me until I am up and running once again.

For all our "Let's Talk Arthritis" members. Our board will also remain open and my good friend and board moderator Fiona, will be keeping "Let's Talk Arthritis" up and running for all our board members. Stop by and say "HI" to Fiona.

I have had a wonderful time getting to know some of you and have enjoyed reading about you and laughed and cried with you.  I hope that I will be able to come back here and continue to peek in on all of you when I am feeling better.  I may not post regularly  but I never forget the friends I made in here.

God bless you all and may this summer be a wonderful time in helping you to start feeling better and once again enjoying this special season

Waddles

Waddles...good luck with the surgery tomorrow...I'll be thinking of you and sending prayers and good thoughts your way!!

as will I...

Patti3739272.3321643519Waddles, thank you for Sore Joint Cafe.  It's a new and fun site and it's in good hands with Liz and Kambria overseeing.  I'm sending you healthy thoughts and holding you in the palm of my hand.  You're an inspiration and my upcoming surgery is insignificant compared to what you're facing.  Take care. Lindy

God be with you,

Nini

Good Luck with the surgery, waddles. Please let us know how it goes.

Huggs!

Hugs and Prayers!

Pip

Please remember as you go into surgery that you have a huge group of people who care about you and are praying for your full recovery!  God Bless you, sweetie!Prayers for you and your family.  Best wishes for a great recovery.Prayers and healing thoughts are being sent your way and will continue until you have a full recovery.  I will update everyone on waddles as soon as I know anything.  I know she for sure appreciates everyones good thoughts and prayers for her and her family.  She really is just such a doll.  I have the faith that she will beat this just as she she beat breast cancer before. From Down Under - Every prayer and wish possible for your recovery.

Thank You all for your prayers, well wishes and caring.  I wish I could tell you all how much it means to me to read all your post. Right now I am speechless

I talked with the Anesthesiologist and he assured me that I will be feeling no pain or anxiety...He said "Honey, You are not going to know anything, have any pain or be in a full fledge panic attack by the time we get you ready for the OP".  I have to believe he knows what he is doing and take his word for it.  I am sure that 10mgs of Valium I will be taking at 9:00 tonight will help take the edge off too.  Gotta love Valium.

You all be good to yourselves, you deserve it and I will keep your kind blessing, and prayers in my heart as I go under.

God Bless you all

Waddles

Yeah, waddles... when I had my elbow operated on... After they gave me that IV, I did not even care the nurses were coming at me with needles (I am scared of needles). It is some good stuff they give ya. And then before you know it... you are out.

Huggs... Don't worry... Be Happy... doo doo dooo dooooododooo

I got a PM from Waddles very early this morning and she says she is ready to do this and ready to get it over with.  The waiting has been the hardest part I think.

Please don't forget to think of her today.

Saying a prayer for you right now waddles.   Dear Waddles, I'm sure you will do fine. there are so many good hospitals/doctors to take care of us these days. The worst part of my surgery for me was just before they took me 'off in the wheel chair to the operating room' , I hugged my husband and son , 'good bye' , it was a scary moment. I've never felt like that before. It is so wonderful having people you love around you at a time like that. We've all grown closer since my big (open heart surgery in Dec), I can't tell you how important it is to have family who 'give a dang' about you! Let us hear from you.LyndaGramma, have you heard anything about Waddles?  Been thinking about her today and hoping for the best.  She is so brave.

Here is an update for everyone on Waddles.

She came thru the surgery with flying colors!!  The doctors are confident that they got all the cancer.  Her daughter said she came out of surgery with a smile on her face.  That is our Waddles without a doubt.  She will be in the ICU for the next 24-36 hours.  They do not release any information to me so I have to wait until she is in a regular room to call her.  Until then, her daughter is keeping me updated.

She will be happy to hear that people are asking about her.  Thank you so much for all of your care and concern.

That is great news Gramma.  Thank you for keeping us posted. Waddles, you are a trooper and I will keep the thoughts and prayers coming your way.   Great news that Waddles is doing well and smiling.  Hugs for her and her family and all her friends here. Liz, thank you so much for letting us know.  I've been thinking about her all day.  Thanks again.  LindyAw Good News.....Thank the good lord,  tks for letting us know Gramma
