Got my proivigil today | Arthritis Information

 

Just took my first pill about 10 minutes ago.  I am really hoping this will give me some MUCH needed energy.  Is this something that works right away or does it have to build up in your system?  And did you experience any side effects from it?  Do you think it will help me control my appatite?  I was sorta hoping for the adderall for that reason but she was only willing to do the proivigil.  I am trying SO hard to lose weight and somehow, I keep gaining!!!!!  I don't eat a lot and don't eat too much junk, a little chocolate no and than but nothing unreasonable.  I am hoping if this drug works that I will be able to join a water aerobic class at the Y!

The first time I took provigil it worked for me.  I had no side effects from it.  I think it was Bingethinker that it made nauesous and that is one of the side effects. 

I was definitely awake on it lol.  I hope this works for you and you get some of that much needed energy from it.  Just be careful that if you do get that energy you still take it slow and easy and don't overdo.  Build yourself back up.

I was hoping you would answer gramma!!  Its been about an hour and I feel a bit wound up, like I can't sit still so I guess it working!!!  I was worried my insurance wouldn't cover it but no problems, just a copay. I thought we had a three tier program but it seems my drugs can be anywhere from - each.

Nope, I promise I won't over do it.  My girlfriend is getting married next spring and wants me to make her some jewelry so while the boss is out today, I thought I would play with my beads, something I haven't done in a long while and I miss it!

My massage girl invited me over to her house on Saturday for her b-day and she has a pool!!!  I am so hoping I feel well enough to go hang out for an hour or two.  The thought of a bathing suit in public is pretty scary but hell, the socialization and a little sun will do me good!

Do you find that it decreases you appetite at all?
I just realized I am sitting at my computer desk and bouncing my leg up and down!  AH, energy.  Can't say I feel like getting up and cleaning the office or anything but I also don't think I will need to get out my nap matt and pillow today at the office!  I still hurt but I am awake!! Oh man, I hope this drug continues to work like this!  I feel.....alive!

I really hope it works for you...let us know.  I requested the provigil or adderal at my RD appointment today and he wouldn't write the script.  He requested a cbc and T4 to check my thyroid.  He thinks it could be my thyroid...I know it's not.  I've been hypothyroid for years and this fatigue is definately different.

Remember....don't over do it!

That is awesome Michele!!!!  I am so happy for you!!!  The provigil for me is a co-pay so I am hanging on to my samples and only taking it as I think I might need it since one pill works right away.  How long does it last? Do you have trouble sleeping? Does it make your heart race? Sorry all the questions but I am curious. I could use some energy. I can sleep off and on all day and then sleep for 9 or 10 hours at night. I need something to help me stay awake. It's awful!Hi all,

I have taken provigil until my insurance company denied it and now I am on adderall.  One of the nice things about provigil is that if I wanted a nap, no problem I could still sleep.  It never interfered with my sleep.  I didn't notice the provigil reducing my appetite, but the adderall did.  I am glad you are awake, but I agree with gramma, it is easy to overdo it when you feel more awake. 

Neasy, my RD never writes scripts for me for anything but meds for RA, I asked my GP and she ordered it.

Thanks for the tip Mary.aaahhh to be able to stay awake for a long period of time!  I want some!!! CinDee...no it doesn't make my heart race when I take the Provigil.  All the benefits of being awake without the side effects of energy drinks etc.
