Which Life Is Better? | Arthritis Information

Life with out of control RA.

Life with out of control RA w/pain meds.

Life with controlled RA but with lots of joint damage.

Life with controlled RA that likes to flare with the change of weather.

Who knows where I am going with this. It just seems to be that even people who do take pain meds, suffer just as much as people without pain meds. The only way not to suffer is to have the right combo of meds and to catch it before you get any joint damage.

I think I will take whatever I can get, let it be controlled or not controlled. I really do not have a choice (at least it seems like I do not) to have it under control. It is out of my hands so to speak. But I am greatful for each day I am not laying in the bed and able to get out of the bed.

I have had such a bad day.  I took my second Humira shot and have a stinking headache along with the joint pain, that I just want to cry and have my mom come and baby sit me!

So. maybe tomorrow I can answer this one.

I think the doctors are paid by the pharm. companies to give us drugs that make us feel bad so we buy more drugs to feel better... I am with you...I don't know what is better being on the meds or off.   SomeI'm going to try the homeopathic route... I am at my wits end.  Nobody understands unless they have it...and I don't have any family/friends that have it so they don't understand.  I hope you feel better mentally and physically..I feel for you and feel the same way.  Be strong. Karen  I'll take life with the meds any day over the alternatives.  Why would I want any of the other options when I'm 75% better with meds?  Am flaring some now because I can't take MXT for a couple of weeks but I'm sure that too will get better.
