Anybody use Tylenol P.M. at night for sleep problems and how often?? Also is it safe enough to interact with Plaquinel/MTHX???? I don't plan on using it on a regular basis but I am told it helps. Thanks GillianMy mom uses it pretty regularly. I have a prescription from my Rheumatologist for a sleeping pill (which I rarely take) but it seems to be safe.

My dr. told me it is okay to take and you can see my meds below. Don't know about with mtx though.

Laker

I take melatonin, it's a natural sleep aid. It's actually what your body produces to fall asleep. I swear by it, and I'm not really one of those "au natural" people. LoL The only things you have to make sure, is that you get in a dark place and TRY to sleep within 30-45 minutes of taking it, and watch out for nightmares. Apparently, with some people, this is a problem. I've never experienced anything myself, but I still warn everyone!I have been using Ambien for months.  I have never slept well but always suffered from fatigue and insomnia.  I told the RD when he asked what meds I take and he did not tell me I had to stop.  Now you are making me wonder

There's another post here today that and her liver test were elevated likely due to the tylenol & MTX combined. Might be something to discuss with your doctor. I've never had a problem.....but better safe than sorry; right?

With RA sleep can be a problem. My doctors have always encouraged me to take something so I could get a good nights rest. Your days will be better if you get proper rest.

I don't take mtx.  However, I usually take either a sonata or tylonel pm every night.  Without them I either can't fall asleep because of the pain or it wakes me up in the night and I can't go back to sleep.  My Rheumatologist prescribed the sonata and suggested the tylonel pm occasionally during the week to mix it up.
