Whatcha gonna do this weekend? Anything special planned?

It is Friday and is sprinkling, and looks like MORE RAIN!!! UGH!

I do not plan on doing much this weekend. Maybe try to clean up the house a little go thru son's toys and get rid of some of them. He has way tooooo many. Who would have thought a 2 year old would have more stuff than a 9 year old??? Not me. I remember when daughter's stuff took up 2 rooms

I am probably going to work on something for my SIL for her wedding that is suppose to be in August. She has already rescheduled it 4 times now. And this time she has given us 2 weeks to prepare! She is a nut, I am telling  you. I think she was dropped on her head when she was a baby. I even told hubby I thought she might have been dropped on her head when she was a baby, and hubby agrees and said maybe more than once

I'm going to try and enjoy this weekend to the fullest.  It's going to be the last weekend for a long time that's going to be enjoyable.

We had to take care of some insurance business this morning, lazing around this afternoon. This evening Stan's grilling ribeyes and I'm fixing everything else.  After supper we're headed to one of the large bars in historic downtown to listen to a blue grass band.

On Saturday we're driving to Mexicali to go to the indoor flea market and to the mall.  On Sunday, I'm getting my body ready, pedicure, manicure, shave my legs, wax my face, all the things I need to do to make myself presentable for surgery and post op. Not going to be able to do those things for about 2 to 4 weeks.  Need to pack my little overnight bag.  Want to spend time cuddling with my kitties and my husband.

I plan on being admitted to the hospital in a state of utter exhaustion....think my weekend will accomplish that?  Lindy

It sounds like a weekend that will keep you smiling throughout your recovery.  All the best!!

Linda

Happy Birthday, Shannon! Boy, you're getting OLD . And the weather is beautiful.

Wow Joonie  - That's very thoughtful of you to do something so nice for someone with a brain injury!

Shannon, Happy, Happy Birthday!    Lin, enjoy every minute of your weekend.  And please ask your hubby or someone to come online and give us an update about how your surgery went.  We'll be anxious to hear.  Gimpy, have fun at the festival, you hippy!

Tomorrow morning my daughter and I are scoping out a couple of possible locations for her wedding next year.  She wants to be married on the beach, and have a clambake for her reception.  So now we need to find just the right spot!

My hubby is a member of the Lions Club here and they are holding an outdoor concert tomorrow night with Beatlemania a tribute band and another guy who impersonates Neil Diamond.  Can't say it would be my choice for a concert, but I will go to support my hubby and the Lions Club.  Will pack a picnic meal and some wine, so it will be fun.

Sunday it's back down to my daughters house (she lives near the shoreline, which is about an hour away) and we are finally going to   get everyone together to celebrate my daughter's 23rd birthday, which was Wednesday.  We are going out to give her her presents and then eat at a seafood restaurant right on the water.  It should be a fun-filled weekend.

Been painting my room for 2 days now.  Have energy from pred, but still pain.  Makes me feel so much better to have a nice redecorated room with a brand new paint job.  BUT, this will be the last time I ever attempt to paint.

Lindy, All the best on your surgery.  Please if possible, could your husband keep us updated?

I have 2 good books to read , so thats my itinery. Oh and to help my daughter with her project for school.Only 2 more weeks and they break up for summer holidays
