I noticed when I was taking NSAIDS that even a glass of wine could really
cause havoc to my stomach. I just started prednisone and am wondering if
anyone knows of warnings or has related experience

No personal experience, as I don't drink at all, but the printed information from the Rheumatology Unit at our hospital says "It is not a good idea to drink alcohol while taking prednisone. Alcohol and steroids can both upset the stomach. You should discuss this with your doctor..."
And from a drug book re Prednisone ."Avoid alcohol as it may increase the risk of developing peptic ulcers."
rarely drink anyway... will stick to the unspiked drinks today.
