Hi! My Pain Manegement Dr. Is starting me on a pain patch called Fentanl for my lower back pain. Has anybody here had any luck with pain on these patches?Hi Paul,i am new here myself but wanted to tell you that i have the fentanl pain patch and it is a very strong narcotic pain killer. it does make me very nauseous so i don't use it unless it is absolutely necessary, 1 every three days when i am in severe pain. i have to take penergan with it to help with the nausea. Hope this helps.HEY I JUST STARTED ON THE SAME PATCH ABOUT 1 MNTH AGO. I WAS TAKING PERCACET BUT IT WAS NOT WORKING ANYMORE. THE PATCH IS WAY BETTER FOR ME . I DO NOT FEEL BUZZED OUT ON IT. AND WITH THE PERCACET AS THEY WORE OF MY PAIN WOULD BE TERRIBLE ANYWAYS I THINK IT IS BETTER FOR ME RIGHT NOW.....TERESA

I've been using the fentanyl pain patches for a few months now.  For me it's great for the pain I get in my feet and hands...but doesn't seem to do much for larger joints like my hips or knees.  It seems to give me energy for some reason( or maybe it's just that my feet feel better?)...BUT as soon as I sit down I feel like I'm going to go to sleep and it becomes very hard to stay awake.  Once I do go to sleep in the evening, I sleep VERY well.  So that's good too.

Good luck..I hope the patch works for u!

YEAH ALSO FOR ME IT IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT IN 2 YRS CAUSE BEFORE I WOULD WAKE UP IN AGONY CAUSE THER PERCS HAD WORN OFF. SO THAT WAY IT IS GREAT....TERESA Thanks for your answers. I hope the pain patch does not make me feel sick to my stomack like Vicodin can. I hope it isn't to addictive...All of the other pain medication I've tried always made me sick...this is the first one that hasn't...although there have been times when I thought maybe I might be sick....but nothing close to how the others made me feel.
