What a day | Arthritis Information

 

Sooooo something wonky has happened with me today.  For some reason I am flaring and flaring hard.  This is what my hands look like today. 

At least my nails look nice lol. 

 

 Holy Moly!! Don't that hurt!!

I'm such a freak.  I hurt much worse when I don't swell, than when I do.

Hi Liz, that could be my hands today.  I've been off MXT for 2 weeks because of surgry and today my hands, elbows, ankles, and knees are swollen and painful.  Still went on our little trip but only stayed for an hour or so and drove back. 

I'm so sorry that your flaring.  You were doing really well.  I wonder why?  I always wonder why.  It's like what did I do differently, eat, weather, etc.  I'm always questioning.  This time I know why, but there's nothing I can do about it. 

I assume you're going to call your rheumy on Monday, aren't you? Take it easy, Lindy

I am so sorry!  At least you know that you CAN feel better.  I have still yet to experience that.  Even knowing that you do question everything you've done in the present and in the past.  Take care of yourself and keep us informed.  I hope this is a quickie!

Oh goodness I hope it is not a trend.  I think it is weather related.

No I haven't been overdoing it for once.  The shinyness (is that even a word lol) is partly from the flash and partly my hands.

Yeah they hurt.  Nothing is helping.  But whatchagonnado ya know??  I am just taking it easy today. 

Yep, gonna call for the dreaded pred if I am not better by Monday. 

This is my first really bad day since I recovered from that flare so I guess I can say I'm pretty lucky in that regard.  Plus I watched Finding Nemo today lol.  I got to pick a movie for once lol. 

Edited to ask Lindy...surgery?  What surgery?  My brain fog must have forgotten something. 

Speaking of brain fog...I can not do numbers anymore.  It is so strange.  I have to give Danny all my receipts from like grocery shopping etc. because I can't keep track of the money anymore.  It's like I can't comprehend it.  Now I worry about money.  UGH.

Pretty much my whole body can look like that. I swell all over. I call it feeling like a puffball!

Maybe keep your h2o intake up, my doc thinks it helps some when my feet do this.

This disease is just so unpredictable. Sometimes we can work out the 'why' with flares and sometimes not.

Owwww...I'm sorry you're hands hurt, they look so painful.  I'm surprised you don't have pred on hand.  I'd run some over to you if I could.  I hope you feel better real soon honey.  If the flares are becoming a trend...I wanna be an outcast.

Yeah I know...no more bar fights...but ya know...some chick just HAD to try and flirt with my husband lol. 

C'mon you guys haven't seen Nemo???  OMG!!!!  Go rent it.  It's so cute.  I just love that movie.  My dog is named after a character in the movie lol. 

Well, I am not any better.  I'm a little more swollen than when Danny took those pics for me.  He wanted to page my RD but I wouldn't let him.  I hate bothering my docs on the weekend.  They need to have a life too.  I had some pred hanging around but my last little flare up I took what was left til I got my script filled.  If I am worse tomorrow Danny will page my rd whether I like it or not lol.  He is being all wardenish lol.

Youch!  Those hands look like they hurt an awful lot.  Isn't it nice to have Danny around to act all wardinish?

Nemo's one of my fave's.  It's so funny.  I always crack up when the one is calling to the whale

Ouchie, I hope they are feeling a bit better today.  Mine look exactly like that.  I sometimes think they are going to just explode from all the swelling in there.

Still the same.  Having some periodic rain showers today so I am hoping that is what is causing this.  It is supposed to rain off and on all week so instead of calling rheumy if this didn't pass with todays weather I called him today at the insistence (nice way of putting it) from Danny lol. 

I was hoping you'd feel better today but since you aren't I'm sure glad the warden is there.

I haven't been able to get on the computer for a few days. I hope you're feeling better today gramma. Those hands look painful! I don't get that awful swelling, just lots of pain. I'm glad you've got your loving family to take care of you!!
