OT SPF Zinc Oxide | Arthritis Information

Well, I get to go out on my personal purgatory today - the past-dreaded day out on our friend's boat.  Post-diagnosis and treatment, after spending 8-10 hours out in the boat and sun, I would be in the back on the bench lying down with a pounding headache praying to be back on land.  I was definitely resented as the "party pooper" because I would finally beg to be back to shore.

These days, this scrawny survivor on seven different RXs will slather up with clear zinc oxide, SPF 50, hide from head to toe under protective gear, and pray the seas aren't too rough.  It's only been in the high 90s for days now, so perhaps a day in heat will make these bones stop aching.  If I never post again, the dreaded beast got me LOL  Cathy

I hope it turns out to be a blast.  You could probably use a fun day out with your friends?

Good luck Cathy!  I love boating and just recently returned from a week spent on our boat.

BUT, I do understand the sun problem.  I have to take all the precations you mentioned, and don't forget a hat and sunglasses.

I hope it turns out to be a good day and better than you expect.  Let us know how it goes ok?

I survived!  Got sea sick, but overall it was great.  We got out into the Gulf, which a pontoon board can only do on really calm days.  The hard part now is that it takes about four days before the lupus symptoms hit.  Oh joy.
