I had Polymyalgia reumatica 5 years ago (pain stiffness in muscles all over the body was on prednisone tapered 30 to 0 in 2 years) .
3 years later developed pain and stiffness in my hands.I thought the PMR was coming back so did not go to doc thought it would go away which it did not .A year later I finally went to doc and he said it is RA (bloodwork and xrays were fine).I went on 200 mg of plaq and within a week all pain/stiffness was gone. I have now cut the pill in half and still fine. How is this possible to work so fast and well? wondering if this could be an indication that it is not RA?
