ok, i have been flaring really badley for awhile. than the last three nights i have had night sweats,really bad, like soaking ones. the first night was the worse. and have been feeling better since the then. could this be connected? Any thoughts would be great!

Some people with RA do experience night sweats. It is also one of the side effects for prednisone. Hope that helps.

Hmmm...when was your last enbrel injection?? Any relation to the night sweats? Are you on mtx? I can't remember. Stupid brain fog.Grams . i am om mtx,enbrel,pred. mtx was sunday. enbrel tuesday. maybe my meds are kicking in??? oh god i hope!

Nite sweats are awful. I go into another bedroom and get in a fresh cool bed. Hormones, the hotter weather, meds, you just never know what's causing it. Unless you've delt w/ them, it's hard to explain. It's maddening. Hope you get some relief soon Kel. I've been hearing and reading (on this board) that lots of women are having luck w/ soy products. I'm going to give it a shot, especially now on top of the RA thing, menopause is knocking at my door.Monk i have had these night sweats for a few years. maybe R/t hormones,arthritis? But i just thougth it was odd that i had been feeling so crappy,achey,fatiugue, than than had three days of night sweats and from the first day forward i started feeling better. just wondering if it is coralated? Than i was thinking "i have been eating alot of hot dogs lately, and i wonder if i am allergic to the crap they put in there,makes me flare, than once my body get rid of it i feel better. I know i am am reaching here, But sometimes you just wonder if it is the food we eat.

MTX causes me to have night sweats. And so would George Clooney if he were available! LOLHormones, mtx, or just a buildup of toxins can cause night sweats, just make sure you are drinking enough to deal with them at night. I usually get them the night I take Mtx. I guess I just changed my sheets and clothes and hoped to get back to sleep. Richard Gere in Pretty Women would also do the trick, but hey, we can't have everything!
I've had night sweats bad when my RA was not under control as in a bad flare. I think it is worth calling the doctor and ask if you should be seen or have your meds adjusted. I don't think you should just live with it. It is a sign that your body is having trouble with something and who wants to live with night sweats when it is already so hot?
Mtx gives me the sweats. So that is why I was wondering if you were on it. Are the sweats coinciding with your mtx dose?
