I was just sitting here rubbing my chin and I have a long hair growing on it. Hubby plucked one off my chin a few months ago, but now I have another one

I think it is from the pred. I was just telling hubby yesterday... that the pred makes hair that is suppose to grow in the right places like head hair fall out, and hair that is not womanly like facial hair grow like wild weeds!

I need me some shaving cream and a razor

Ok... now you have confirmed it!!! I am truly getting old... I knew I was, but now I have confirmation. Damn Hubby is getting old I have always gotten a stray hair or two on my chin, I just pluck-em!  However, since my year long affair with pred, I have noticed I am getting some side burns!!!  GROSSSSSS!!!!  I take those tiny manicure scissors and try to cut it as it isn't real dark and that seems to do the trick but will probably ask about getting it waxed next time I get my eyebrows riped out! Yeah don't feel bad. I have a new one. And I MISSED it. Long enough for the sucker to get about an inch and a half long. SHEESH. I better not get any more.Ok I feel better now, that ya'll were ripping chin hair in your 20's

Just wait till you hit 40 girls I hear ya moana!!!You're not alone with the chin hair issue.  I've gotten so used to it, it's kind of like a game of guess where the next ones are going to pop up.  I've also entertained just letting them grow long enough that I can achieve a "comb-over" of sorts to help disguise the head hair I am missing.  Could catch on.  Why are those extra ones that pop up always tough & wiry!!  I get the odd one on my eyebrow and face as well.

I can't see without my glasses or work the tweezers to pluck my eyebrows or those facial little monsters any more, so anyone that arrives at my house gets presented with my tweezers!!  Charming!! Jennifer...that's hilarious!!!

Take it from one who has been dealing with this for years.  It got where waxing was too expensive so I went back to tweezing.  To make it almost painless, before you tweeze run Anbesol (for teething or gum pain)  on the area, let sit for a few seconds, wipe dry and tweeze away.

I meant to say rub it on the area  LOL

Seems to me there are quite a few of us with this "chin hair" issue.  Perhaps it is time to start a revolution of sorts.  At one time it was the Burning of the Bras.  Today it could be the Tossing of the Tweezers.

I must admit though that I tried letting mine go at one point.  A rebellion against the chin hair police, a fine one it was - for a few days.  The day I ran into a cousin in the grocery store who mistook me for my uncle Charlie, then tripped over my chin hair and knocked down a display of dipilatory cream - I took it as a sign to pluck again.  Cursed chin hairs!!

LOL, Jennifer!

Joonie, you are not old. I have been getting hairs where I shouldn't since high schol.

Does anyone think it might be something hormonal in those of us with rheumatic illnesses?

Hmmmm...

Yeah, I am going to get hubby aka Mr. Tweezer to pluck me hair. Oh and that was not a perverted reference

Peace & Love...Neasy

Ah so my meds could have been causing the recent random fluff?

I couldn't bear it so I saved up for a while and had it lasered off, its brilliant! Such a relief. Its addictive though, I'd like my legs lasered next....if only I had the spare cash lying round.

Isn't it lovely to be a woman?  We are so lucky!

This facial hair and head hair business is amazing.

Hugs,

Jen

Whateva, Flames. At least I am not an 18 year old with no facial hair and chest hair. Smooth as a babies bottom.

Ok that did not make sense but in my head it was making perfect sense.

How about at least I am not an 18 year old male that is smooth as a babies bottom, and I do not mean from shaving either. No hair growth whatsoeva!

When I  started taking various meds for my heart my random chin hairs started growing with a vengeance..  course the fact I was about 50 may have had something to do with it..soooooooo

after a couple years of  living with tweezers at the end of my fingers I got lasered.  wonderful... it worked and it has stayed gone.  I got a second treatment about 2 years after the first one and  will go for another in the next 6 months or so.. they SAY you need 3-5 treatments 3 months apart but I didnt do it that way and I'm very happy with the results. I had my chin and upper lip done and they caught a couple strays lurking about.
