I just noticed I have graduated to a groupie.I have always wanted to be a groupie.
If you could be a groupie to a band,what band would that be?
Back when I was 12 it would have been KISS.Don't laugh, I was young and my brother brainwashed me.But right now I would be a groupie for Justin Timberlake.I know he is young but he likes older women, right.I think he is adorable.As far as a band goes I guess it would still be KISS.Old habits never change.

What band would have me following them?....in a dream sequence it would be the Beatles as I saw them as a teen in 1966 but was too young and naive to even consider being a groupie...

My teenaged son is soooo amazed that I actually saw Jimi Hendrix and the Rolling Stones (on different bills!!) in my younger days. He absolutely reveres Hendrix. Makes me think he should've been born 30 years sooner. He also loves Country Joe and the Fish, Pink Floyd, and Tom Petty. When he had to do a paper on protest music for school, we had fun reminiscing about Mom's anti-war activism in early 70s. (It wasn't that we were opposed so much to the war (in Viet Nam), but rather we were pushing PEACE as an alternative. To be that young and that idealistic again.......whew!! Hi Molly, I Love the Beatles the most!! Also was a big Rod Stewart, David Bowie and Elton John fan. My son's middle name is Levon after the Elton John song
Always felt that Rod Stewart's "Maggie May" was the anthem for back-to-school! It's cool that you used Levon for your son's middle name. I always wanted a "Paul" but ended up with Thomas Andrew and Andrew Joseph instead for my sons' names. Always loved the name "Andrew".....can you tell?
Named our dog Abbey for the Beatles. We got her on Ringo's birthday (July 7) and we live near (another!) Abbey Road.
(Not a huge fan though) I'd have to go with; Bon Jovi, White Snake, Great White....Bare Naked Ladies...County Crows??? Who else? Oh I really do LOVE Elton John Pam, and James Taylor is one of my favorites. I'm all over the place am I not? And thanks for all those nice things you said about me guys...The friendships I've made here means so much to me. I just can't explain it. (edited for typos...who knew? WE NEED A SPELL CHECK!!) I like Bare Naked Ladies, too. That's what happens when you have kids who span a decade. I took my eldest dtr and her pals to see New Kids on the Block when she was in middle school...while my youngest barely knew of that group's existence as he was a toddler at the time. Loved this thread...such fun! This weekend I am going to see and hear Flogging Molly! I love their sound--anyone else familiar with em? (Please don't flog) Molly Bee!!!
I am really into Kaiser Chiefs and also a bit of Northern Soul (and have been to a few gigs). Also like Madeline Peyroux (probably spelt wrong). Bare naked Ladies are quite cool. Niki Hi Niki, Liverpudlian, are ya? That's soooo cool. My friends and I called ourselves "Anglophiles" when we found ourselves loving every group and everything associated with England. I forgot Lennon had changed his middle name when he and Yoko got together. Ah yes...Yoko Ono, the tiny woman who single-handedly broke up the best band ever.
