Had a C Spine MRI done. I have not seen the report but called the DR. Spoke to a woman that works there. She said I would have to speak to dr ( away ) but said it stated Moderate to severe Spinal Stenosis. I do have a lot of ache in the spine area. Also leg problems..??? Anybody here know anything about this?   Thanks

Spinal stenosis is when the spaces inbetween the discs narrow( causes some pressure on the nerves) it can be caused by wear and tear ( thats what i was told was the cause of mine). RA can also cause it ( not common) something to do with the synovium lining. I get leg problems, mine radiates from my spine to hip to left leg, if i have been standing for more than a minute i get a lot of pain and discomfort if i try to sit down.

There are other things that can cause stenosis but that would be on your report. Let us know when you see the doctor.

Take care

I have cervical spine stenosis due to degenerative discs.  I found out when I had a pinched nerve that cause pain in my shoulder.  I have achiness in my neck a lot.  I went through traction, physical therapy (which by the way made me worse), three epidurals, and finally ended up at the chiropractor.

Me, too.  Lisa, I understood stenosis to be a narrowing of the of the spinal canal, so that it presses against the spinal cord nerves.  Is that what you mean, or is your understanding different?

Mine is cervical and seems to cause nerve pain down my arms for the most part.  Lyrica has helped with it immensely.

This site has a good definition of spinal stenosis. I have it too, due to osteoarthritis and scoliosis.

Hope this helps. medline plus usually has straightforward explanations of medical conditions.

Be well,
