tailbone pain and RA | Arthritis Information

Does anyone have tailbone pain (sacroilliac pain). I have this at least monthly and it lasts about 3 days.. Is this common with RAI'm not sure if it has to do with RA or not. I'm fairly new to the disease. I had it really bad when I was pregnant, but I think that was just because I was so big from the baby. I do experience it from time to time if I'm sitting in an uncomfortable seat. It seem to get better once I'm able to move around again... just a little on the sore side.

I experience tail bone pain and yes I believe it is pretty common with RA.

Yes, that is one of my worst areas. My lower back & hips. Sometimes both sides, sometimes only one or the other. But almost always present in the middle lower back. I am having an MRI done Aug 13th. I believe it can be caused by RA but my doctor has mentioned AS (anklosing spondylitis) which is a type of inflammatory arthritis of the spine

Yes, I have tailbone & ischium (bone you sit on), & hip pain from RA - it's very common to get any kind of bursitis from RA.

I't makes sitting down comfy, don't it?Damn this pain in the butt disease! (Pun intended!)the sacroilliac pain happens with psoriatic arthritis alsoI have terrible SI pain and have for years.  They did x-rays and didn't see anything, so it seems to be that muscle spasms pull it out of whack.  My chiropractor showed me a technique to balance out my SI joints (lying down with a think book positioned properly under one side) and that has really helped me.  Otherwise, it doesn't seem there's much that can be done.  Sitting is not as bad for me, but it really affects my ability to walk or stand for more than a few minutes.yes, ra is not limited to just joints, it can pop in odd places.  INflammation is inflammation so you can pop something on a shoulder, thigh area and even tail bones.Yep, me too, massage therapy helps the most for me with this pain.
