Thimerosal was removed from vaccines back in 2001. The amounts of other addivites are very very small and used for preserving the vaccine. Reactions to vaccines are normally caused by sensitivites to either the gelatin in it or egg protein.
Just remember that when you have RA to NOT get any LIVE vaccines. Or to be around anyone that has had a live vaccine for I think it is 2 weeks.
Good point grammaskittles. Somehow we missed a polio vaccine for my daughter and I went to get her one and didn't even realize it until later. Very scary.WOW! I didn't know you couldn't be around anyone who has a live vaccine. What are consider live vaccines? I went with daughter to take dog to vet does that count? My son is supposed to get a 9th grade school physical, so should I have my hubby take him just in case he has to get a shot?

Flu and pneumonia are safe shots. Just do not get the flu one that is a mist.
I am not sure which ones are live ones. I know the flu and pneumonia are not. Check with your sons physician on this one.
