"Top rated" is so subjective especially on a place like ratemd.com. What I consider good may not be what someone else considers good.
Is "top" someone with good clinical skills, or is it someone who is a top notch researcher, or is it someone with a awesome bedside manner. But again a bedside manner that appeals to me may not appeal to you.
What are YOU looking for in a doctor? How do you define "top"?

The American College of Rheumatology, the professional organization (not a university college), maintains a website on which you can search for members who treat patients, and get some basic info about them, including whether they are "fellows" of the organization:

It also has international listings as well, but I believe those would still have to be members of the association.
It might be a good place to start.
