Just had my second IV on Friday not sure the dose I am getting. So far no positive results same problems with my hands and ankles. The Remicade seems to give me a bad headache that last about a week have noticed no other bad effects. Have most of you had positive results from this drug and how laong before I should feel it if it does work.
I was pre medicated this time headache started several hours after treatment and is now in it's fifth day hope it ends soon. Tremadol helps alot. ANYONE tried antibotic treatment like in ROAD BACK I guess I will ask my RA Doc next time I visit.

I was on Remicade for a time. The doc told me it could take 3 or 4 infusions to see results. I'm sure others will have more information. I'm sorry you've not seen any positive results. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you see some positive stuff soon. As far as the headache, have you told your doc about it? I know it's a side effect of the Remicade and you might want to let them know you are experiencing that. It's the last thing you need on top of your other pain! Sending lots of good thoughts. Please let us know how you are doing!

I suffered from the remicade headache whenever they did not give me a dose of Benedryl with it. If I took benedryl then no headache. THEY CAN FIX THAT SIDE EFFECT!!!!
I didn't see any relief until either my 5th or 6th infusion. You have to be patient. Patience is the word of the day!! It's different for each person, so hang in there. There's absolutely nothing you can do to make it go faster, or get relief sooner. Your body will respond the way your body is programmed to. I wish it were different but it isn't. Lindy
Hi, I'm still waiting for mine to 'work'. I don't have headaches or anything bad, I just don't feel like it is attacking whatever is attacking me! I've lost count of how many but probably 5 the last three were almost 900cc's! Thats a lot. My doc keeps saying to be patient....I'm trying. (he added Pred as I mentioned) LyndaIve been on remicade for 21 months for me it worked right away, but everyone is different. Its generally worked pretty well for me, but every now and then an infusion just doesnt seem to "take " as well. I was on it every 4 weeks until about 3 months ago, then we stretched to 5 weeks. I think Im going to ask to go back because by week 3 Im in bad shape again
