New to the buddy and IM thing, hopefully not alone in my ignorance. I've figured out the buddy list. Got my buddies. I have IM w/ AOL, but I can't add a contact unless there is an email addy connected. Now, is this IM connected to AOL's? If so, what do I do next? TIA

I'm kinda confused on the question. You should be able to add buddies to AOL IM or AIM (which is actually an AOL product) without an email address.
Send me a PM. I used to work for AOL and most likely can help you straighten this out.
