Confused Again | Arthritis Information

I am again having a bad flare, and it seems my remicade didn't work last week. wrists,, fingers, kee & feet/toes painful and swollen. But it's much worse on the right side and I know ra is usually billateral. get so confused as to how to know if it is ra or sitting at work,stretching wrong, working, sleeping wrong, etc. My rd told me to increase pred from 5 mg to 10 3xday for 2 days, then gave me a taper down schedule. I was almost off of it too!

So should I assume that if the pred works it is probably ra and otherwise something else? I have to get blood tests next week I guess I can rely on sed rate too?

My RA is usually worse on my right side since that is my dominate side.

I would tell you dr. if you don't feel better after Remicade. What dose are
you at? There is alot of room with Remicade as far as dosages go.

I did call my doc today and is going to switch me to humira since I am at the highest level of remicade (7 'vials' sp?)

That was our plan 'b' the last time we met, but I wanted to give remicade one last try. Been on it about 1 1/2 years, but the last 2 infusions haven't helped.

I do know I favor my right side and have a bit of scoliosis.
