unable to cross leg | Arthritis Information

I have been unable to cross my left leg for about a year or so. I can cross my right leg without any problems. The left leg feels like a frozen shoulder(very limited range of motion.  Does anyone have the same problem.what does your doctor say.  That type of problem is likely realted to a hip issue of some sort

I can't say that I've experienced the same thing, but have problems with both my knees.  The right one has some sort of bone growing out from the kneecap, which was pretty painful when it was coming on.  The left one has lost the cartilage, and the knee is barely connected to the shin bone, and buckles often.  When in water, my leg, beneath the knee, just seems to move around without my control.  It is an uncomfortable feeling, and I must have something to hold on to balance.

Tell your rheumy so that he/she can make suggestions to increase mobility.  Letting it stay frozen, I'm afraid, would be one of the worst things to do.  Above all, remember not to continue with any form of excercise once pain starts.  That will only exacerbate the damage.  Good luck.

Yep.  It's the inflammation in the leg, even a small amount only in one leg can cause the worst problems.

To put my shoes on, either my husband does it or i sit on the bed and turn to the side and pull a leg up in order to put the shoes on.
