I read somewhere that it is normal to have a low grade fever with RA. The day before yesterday mine was 101.6, yesterday it is 99.9, I haven't checked yet today, but I can tell it is probably the same as yesterday. Anyone else have this, and is there something I should do about it other that Tylenol? How often can I expect this to happen..all the time or occationally? Thanks AGAIN :o)
Staci
Staci,
Happens to me all the time. Any time I have a flaire up, I get low grade fevers. They make me tired.... I pretty much don't do anything for them; however, if I'm aching I take Advil.
Hi Staci,
I don't get fevers, but I have read that it is not uncommen for some to run low grade fevers on a pretty regular basis.
My son has JRA and does run low grade fevers a little more than just occasionally and they come in clusters of a few days at a time usually in the evenings.
I think Karen (TX) runs fevers at times too.
Wish I could be more help, I don't think there is much more to do for it, Tylenol sounds about right. I make my son get extra rest when this is going on as it usually is a precurser to a flare.
Take care,
Are you guys able to preview your posts tonight?? I have not been able to
Good luck, I hope you can get some help. Mike I seem to run around 99.6 almost all the time. The doctor said anytime it gets above 100.3 is when I need to get attention. Karen-many time MRSA presents as a spider bite, thus getting misdiagnosed. You might want to see if you are still colonized. I got it in 2004 and am still colonized.
