AF vs AI | Arthritis Information

Wnat to see and follow something interesting.

I've been posting the same pharma article on AF as here.  Run over and take a quick peek.  Notice how many people reply and what was said.  Then re-open the posts here and do the same.

Why is AI open to discussion and AF not?

I've said I'm working to a point.

Hmmmmm.

Pip

Pip,

Hate to sound dumb, but what is AF???

Thanks
Marianne
i think AF is the Arthritis Foundation message board

hey pip, don't you have anything better to do with your time than go to other discussion boards and stir up trouble? If you really enjoy raising a stink why not do it here on your home message board? I notice that you always fail to mention that you either add to or leave something out of your posts here in comparison to what you say there. For instance, you asked the people here to hold an open discussion concerning Pharma Mkt. On the other message board you did not do that, a fact that you failed to mention here. I am working up to something, hmmmmm.

Hey Country Girl -

Actually, I was a member of AF before I joined here.  Didn't realize why I thought it was so 'hopeless' over there.  And except for some of their more 'bought and sold' members, the rest of those guys are OK.

Please go back and look again.  I mentioned in at least 2 of the 4 posts over there I was leading up to something.  Which, if you check over here, I also did.

And I guarantee what I'm leading up to is not what most people will expect.

Pip

Okay, fair enough. Guess I will just have to stick around and find out what ya got up yer sleeve there.

What are "bought and sold" members, Pip?

Politics could be why AF is not a more open ground for discussion.  Isn't anything that is funded by government money be more politicized?  Just wondering.  Maybe we have more open minds over here and speak our minds more freely?  I dunno.  Who knows.  A good discussion without personal attacks can be a learning experience.

Has anyone really thought why most doctors do not stray from the normal protocol of treatment?  Or why more up and coming rheumys do not?  Especially with the current line of thinking is that RA is caused by an infection that settles in the joints?  Is there research being done on getting our immune systems to recognize this infection and fight it?

I have been wondering the same thing, it seems like they all have the same protocal. Try A and if it doesn't work we will go to B and so on and so on. Seems most all RD's follow the same plan of attack and get really upset if your RA don't fall in line with their plan. Does make a body wonder don't it?

Did anybody ever read the book "One L" by Scott Turrow?  It was his explanation of what they make lawyers go thru to become lawyers.  It's the EXACT opposite of what doctors go thru.

Which doesn't really help us....I was trying to agree with Country Girl.

Pip
