I've been told I'm focusing too much on Pharma so today I'm posting on docs and research.

This comes as no surprise, and I'm sure that the "many physicians" that are mentioned as defenders of this type of practice, are probably doing the same thing...padding their income with purchasing drugs at wholesale prices and then selling them back to patients at a higher price. It happens all the time.
I think it was here that I saw posts of some doc not letting a patient do a biologic at home. Wonder if there was a price difference?

No doubt. And I thought the pharmacy in the lobby of my Dr.s office was for the customers convienence. Just Kidding! I refuse to go to it even though my co-pay would be the same.I really did not realize how blatant it was until I read this article. It kinda makes you sick to your stomach, huh? Definitely not ethical. All other industries regulate this type of thing. Must be some BIG loopholes.
Take care, Karin
