I certainly agree. I've been on one form of DMARD or another since early on. I started out with Sulfersalazine...then Plaquinel...then MTX and now Humira & MTX. (predisone & cortisone shots sprinkled in here and there as well) I think they start you out on the milder DMARDS and then work you up.
In the beginning Sulfersalazine worked well; and then it just be came a cycle after that.
I've had good results with MTX & Humira...but I know eventually I'll need something else.
If you're suffering and you are not on some form of DMARD I can only suggest ask for it. If you doctor doesn't think you need it and your in great pain in your opinion...find another doctor. These drugs do help. And some doctors are far too slow to precribe them.
