Well, after fighting the insurance company for payment, I had my first orencia infusion yesterday. I am keeping my fingers crossed that sometime in the next 3 months it will start to work.
The past year we have tried five different meds trying to get this flare to quiet down so I can keep going. The only thing keeping me going right now is the prednisone and pain killers. Come on Orencia, I am ready and waiting.
Good luck and keep us up to date. Get some rest if you can. I have been getting 8-11 hrs a night and it helps with the fatigue that is so comon anoung us.

I guess it's the infusion and the fact that I may be let down once again if it doesnt work.Oh Good Luck to you! Hope you get to be an Orencia poster child!!!Good luck with the Orencia! I had my first infusion last week, and go for my second one next Friday. My RD has only three other people on Orencia (me being the fourth) and he said two of his patients noticed a difference within the first week, and the third patient noticed improvement after the second infusion.
As far as I can tell, no changes thus far. But like yourself, I'm hopefull and am just keeping my fingers crossed!
Another thing worth mentioning (since you said you have already failed five different meds) is AP therapy. I'm currently doing it in conjunction with my traditional meds, and am just starting my second month.
