Whats happening???? | Arthritis Information

Not sure what is happening to me but whatever it is I am not complaining. In 10 years I havent ever woken up without being stiff and sore.It lasts for at least 2 hours but this morning I woke up and thought I was someone else. No stiffness, no soreness and i got out of bed feeling like I did before RA set in. I took the morning slowly incase I over did it and then went shoping with my eldest for her holiday. I had a couple of twinges in my hips but nothing at all bad. I walked without any aid which I havent done in years either.

I am on no meds apart from antibiotics for my respiratory infection and no cortisone injections.

We are going to a family party tonight and I am still feeling really good, I almost dont want to say it incase it turns on me.

I have a stairlift at home as I cant get up the stairs but today I havent needed it at all.

I am completly baffled and slightly scared ,if that sounds strange its because I have got so used to being virtually immobile for years and i feel vunerable without my RA

If anyone has any imput please feel free to give me your perspective on this as I am so confused.

Hooray for a good day!

Well...WOW and WOOOHOOOO!!!!!!  Oh geeze this better last for you Lisa.  I swear it better.  Now don't go all hogwild and willynilly today with housework.  Still take it easy and just ENJOY feeling good.  Besides...you wanna go party tonight right???  So take it easy during the day.

An idea that can be possible is that it is the antibiotics that you have been on for like forever and a day.  They are saying now thatt RA starts with an infection that settles in our joints.  So who knows.  *Shrugs*  It could also be that you are feeling better from being so sick lately.  I know for me, being sick makes me flare pretty badly.  Whatever it is...just ENJOY IT!!!!  Relax and revel in it!!!!

Congrats Pin!!! This is wonderful!!! You've had a terrible time lately, you deserve this. "Don't Look a Gift Horse In the Mouth"

I do NOT want to sound like a girl but, as I read your post I got excited for you.  I would probably stay up as long as I could.

Ooooohhh wonderful!  Sending lots of hugs and hoping it lasts and lasts and lasts!

Hugs,

Jen

That's great! What kind of antibiotics are you on?pin
its always weird when you get one good day after lots of bad... who can understand these weird things!!!!    we've got good weather in the UK after many weeks of rain and flooding, could it be the high pressure your body is responding too???
whatever, just enjoy the pain free existence while you can!!!!

Pin,

That's absolutley wonderful!  I'm so happy for you.  Enjoy the day.  I hope this is just the beginning of many more good days for you.

Pin~  Im soooo happy that your feeling good today.  Like the others have said, don't overdo it because you feel well today.  Take it easy so it lasts!!!

My colleague says that when he's got a cold his RA symptoms are better. Ironic that he has to get another infection to feel good.

Long may it continue.x

YAY YAY YAY YAY

I hope it continues for you!

Hope it's a most enjoyable day for you!

I still cant figure out why now when a week ago I was so ill and couldnt stand without help and i am taking nothing. It doesnt make sense to me. I am trying to take it easy but I feel I need to make the most of it incase it all comes back.

I am taking celexafen( antibiotic) for infection.

That's fantastic Pin, I hope this trend continues!!

Oh Lisa, It is so great to hear you are feeling so much better! Those are the days we hope and pray for. Hope it keeps up for a very long time.

I know how easy it is to really go crazy and try to do all the things you feel like you've had to stop because of the pain. I say, go ahead a do a few of them, but be sure to take breaks and don't over-do anything. Maybe you can feel good for a longer time that way.

Stay well,

Hugs, Nini

WOOT!!! Pin - that is great news. It could be the antibiotics or
for some people RA changes after around 10 years, it seems to settle down and you ache more, get fatigue just the same and flare sometimes but not as often or as severely.
If it is the antibiotics then I would certainly consider the AP therapy.
Fingers crossed that this will continue.I have one thing to say.....

HURRAH!

Pin, that is wonderful news. I am so happy for you! I echo what others have said - do all the things you want to do, but take breaks and be kind to your body. I want your good days to stick around!!!
