SO, we made it thru the wedding. They are hitched.

Grandpa did not show out... ahh too bad, I LOVE when he shows out

But the grooms grandma showed out BIG TIME! She pissed off MIL, it was freaking GREAT! I love family drama, nothing better in life then to watch family members act like assholes to one another. MIL was civil. Nanna well... she was just a plain b!tch.

It was a doozie. I was minding my own bisness hunting down my kids and then BAM! ... Groom's grandma, Nanna, was all up in my grill. Apparently, I misspelled her name on the wedding program. Not my fault was just going by what SIL wrote on her outline for the wedding program. So... here I am looking for my daughter and then I hear someone yacking really loud behind me. I turn around to see who it is... by the time I get fully turned around there she was yacking at me and man... you should have seen the look on her face while she was yacking at me. I am going to have nightmares of her face while yacking at me. She was talking so fast and her eyes were really BIG looked like they were going to pop outta her head, and her eyes looks like they had fire in them she was sooo upset with her name getting misspelled. And most of what she said I could not comprehend, because she was talking so fast and the way she looked... just scared the crap outta me. All I caught from everything she said to me was "YOU MISSPELLED MY NAME!" I said "What?" and then she said it again. I said "Where?" I thought I might have made a typo like "lkie", but I did not see it, it was spelled just how SIL had it on her paper. I told her that, and then she said "Well... I told her she spelled my name wrong when I looked at her program outline at the rehersal, and she said she would fix it." I then said "I have that program outline from the rehersal and she made changes and added to it, but your name was still the same. I am sorry it was misspelled." Then she started yacking again, and then I blocked her out and walked off.

Then she was bad talking about one of the church women who helped set up everything for the wedding. Pissed MIL off BIG TIME! Then she had the gall to say she paid for the flowers, the tux rental, and something else. And she did no such thing. She bought a boutineer for the groom, but they already had the boutineer for him, as it was to be the same color as SIL bouqute. He ended up with the white rose. She did not pay for his tux rental... she gave him the for the rental place to hold it for him but MIL paid the 5 for him to get it to wear. I forget what the other thing was, but it all PISSED off MIL.

Oh and then... and then... she got on to my daughter for something she did not even do. I went looking for SIL, so I followed, Nanna, to where SIL was suppose to be. Nanna opens the door and my daughter was sitting in the rocking chair in the corner, playing with SIL barrettes for her hair. She then said "What are you doing in here?!" MY daughter said "Sitting here." Then the old bag looked around and noticed an open 20oz bottle coke cola on the table next to SIL vail. And she FREAKED! She picked it up and got on to my daughter about it, and asked her if it was hers and my daughter told her no it was SIL's daughters. And then after my daughter told her it was not hers, she placed it right back next to the vail, without the top, and told my daughter that if it gets spilled on the vail, her aunt would be upset. Then I told my daughter to go find her brother.

Oh and MIL snapped when they were all waiting in line to come down the aisle. Yep, I heard MIL talking louder than her normal voice and wagging her finger, which the finger wag is not a good sign.

OH and Nanna, she shows up in the dark brown dress, and she looked like a walking turd. I mean, the woman could have came in any other color, but she choose brown. She was better dressed for the rehersal than she was for the actual wedding. We were all dressed up and there she is in this 2 piece knitted, brown sack. She did not even look like she was to be at the wedding, maybe hired help?

Yeah... and then she had SIL open up all of the gifts. SHe sat down next to SIL and was handing her presents. She told SIL who they were from, and the ones she was handing her were from the groom's side. She would hand SIL a present and say "OH you are going to love this one." Or "You will cherish this one." "OH this one is breakable." and then when she handed SIL all of the presents from the grooms side of the family... nanna just got up and walked off. SIL thought she was done. and then SIL new MIL told her there were still presents to be opened. WHich happened to be the presents from the bride's side of the family. Then after SIL opens all of those presents she comes back and asks SIL if she got anything else "good". and then she noticed a mirror one of the church women gave SIL and talked about how beautiful it was and that was about it.

Yeah... it sure was an event. And just think... we get to meet her again in April for our nieces b-day. OH JOY!! NOT!!!

Oh, Joonie!  You made me spit my drink out with your description of Nana' dress!

What a sweet wedding I think I'm goinna cry my eyes out

I did not really come to the grandma looking like a walking turd until we were all sitting down eating and she got up and was walking away, that I just thought "She looks like a walking turd." I had whispered my thought to hubby when I thought of it, but he did not hear me. I told him about it after we dropped my mom off at home. Hubby laughed and said "OH I gotta tell momma that one!"

Moana - I am D-O-N-E... done. It was pretty fast for a wedding. It took longer for the pictures to get took than it did for the ceremony.

The women at FIL's church catered the food. It was mostly finger foods, sweets, and the sandwiches... were of some mess I could not stomach. But they done a really good job setting it up and everything. Was really pretty. I mostly stuck to the brownies with cheese cake topping and cheese, and ritz crackers with some kind of dip MIL made with cream cheese and pineapple (2 of my favorite foods mixed together YUM!).

Only 52 out of 85 showed up, but 9 of them were kids, so I do not know if SIL was counting kids in her guest count or not.

I sat up until 5am making favors, printing scrolls, and printing the wedding programs. I still was not done, when I wen to bed. I woke up at 10am and started on the favors and then worked on glueing the rest of the gift bags I had made on the way to the church. And then I still had to pretty up some of the favors.

The scrolls were a big hit. I made 88 of them and the supplies I used cost me about to make them. The gift bags I made 50 of them, the supplies cost me . I forgot to take pics of the favors I made, so I could post them for ya'll to see.

Oh and I stayed out of the family pics they had taken. Hubby had to get in the pics as he was the bride's brother

Thanks for the details Joonie! I know the wedding was a hoot, I'm LMAO

Too funny.

Yeah, she was a real character. I heard them talking about her before, but I never really paid her any attention at nieces b-day parties, as I am most of the time trying to keep one of my kids from stick their fingers in the cake.

Oh and son.... he was out in full force trying to get at the wedding cake. He would walk over there by the cake table and then he would slowly move around to the back side where he could reach the cake a little better. He sooo wanted to have some icing, that he kept brining people over to show them the cake, in hopes that they would let him have a taste of the icing.
