This is my first post here, although I have been coming here and reading and getting great information for about the last 2 years and I thought it was about time I started participating.

I have RA, was dx in 2002.

Does anyone experience a deep burning pain?  I get this in my right wrist and my feet.

Also the last few week I have been feeling like someone is choking me, hard to swallow, dry mouth and throat.  Anyone else get this?  I do tend to panic when it happens and I'm sure that makes it worse.

This site is great and I have learned alot coming here.

I sure do! The burning in my feet is the worst...but experience it in my knees as well. I have had a dry throat but not like I am choking...

It is nice to met you, by the way!

I get a hot burning pain in my feet.  Feels like a hot poker going through my foot.

The throat problem maybe symtoms of sjogrens, check it out.   I have secondary sjogrens, RA being primary.

Take care

Yes, the fun hot poker feeling :)

I will check out the Sjorgens symptoms.

Thank you

Raynaud's syndrome which is frequently secondary to autoimmune diseases can cause burning pain in the hands and feet.  It also causes the hands to be very, very cold.  The burning sensation is usually associated with warming.

If you have icy hands when no one else does, you might want to check out raynauds too.

I once had a patient ask me not to touch her because she said "Baby you feel dead" -

I did read up on the Raynaunds, however my fingers don't change in color.

Thank you for the information.

I WONDER IF U MIGHT HAVE NEUROPATHY--MY GIRLFRIEND HAS IT AND IT SOUNDS AS IT U MAY HAVE SOME OF THE SYMPTOMS--GOOD LUCK---Lauuri

I will have to look into that as well.

Welcome to the site Lauuri.

You will find a ton of support, information and understanding here.
