Doctor Again!!

Hubby finally found out the answers to all my questions & worries about our insurance.

Here is what they said:

The Suitcase in the top right corner of your ID card indicates that your plan with us participates in the Out of State Bluecard program.  This means that if you are out of state that you can use the provider networks of the state you are located in (i.e. BlueCross BlueShield of Alabama's provider networks).  So since you reside in Alabama you can receive in network benefits by using the providers that are in network with BlueCross BlueShield of Alabama.

Coinsurance is the percent that is not paid by your policy and would be considered patient liability;  I.E.  If your plan benefit for a Hospital
Inpatient stay is 80% then your responsibility/"coinsurance" would be the remaining 20% of the allowed charge that was not paid by your policy.

Please see below for your plan benefits for x-ray and lab charges.

OUTPATIENT DIAGNOSTIC XRAY & LAB
IN NETWORK:
* ROUTINE SERVICES * 100% OF MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE CHARGE.

* NON - ROUTINE SERVICES * 80% OF MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE CHARGE SUBJECT TO DEDUCTIBLE.  (THIS INCLUDES MRI'S, CAT SCANS, AND NUCLEAR MEDICINE.)

OUT OF NETWORK:
* 60% OF MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE CHARGE SUBJECT TO DEDUCTIBLE.  MEMBER SUBJECT TO BALANCE BILLING.

We show your wife's pre-existing waiting period has been waived due to the prior credible coverage information that has been loaded and she would not have to wait for an extended period before she can use her benefits under your policy.

==============================================

So I guess I am considered In-Network! And my labs will be paid 100%. And NOT Pre-existing!! (which that was a worry due to Roxy...lol)

That is all I really needed to know before I went.

WOoooHOOOoooo!!

  Great news Joonie!!

I'm so glad you can finally get back to getting the care that you need.

Thanks for sharing the fantabulous new!!

That is wonderful news Joonie.  I find out this week if I am covered.  Let us know what happens when you finally get to go see a rd.

That is one of my stresses gone...

Now I just need the owing the propane company 0 since last year....to go away. I worry about it, but hubby does not...hince why it was not paid when he had his old job....he just did not care....not until he gets cold....that nerd!

And how we are going to pay for daughters school today. I guess we are asking father-in-law for the money. Since it was his bright idea for her to start school in a Christian Academy in 2003.

Oh and to add to that list a broken water pipe in our bathroom. I heard it break at about 4am this morning and hubby did not get up to cut the water off until 6am. It was running out under the trailor. but it was loud, which I did not get no sleep.

It just keeps piling up!!

Looking for a job just gets closer & closer to me actually going to find one. I just want to stay home and tend to my Andrew. But looks like I will not be able to, for very long.

When it rains it pours Joon. But Im glad u got your health insurance coverage straightened out. Its a wonderful thing to have, trust me I know. Went w/o insurance for over 10yrs.

HOORAY FOR BLUE CROSS BLUE SHEILD!!!!!!!!

We have WATER again!!
