Those Dirty Bastards! | Arthritis Information

I called around lunch time last Wednesday to order my humira, so I will have it by Friday. Well, I decided to change it all over to my medicaid, since the co-pay from hubby's insurance was going up to for the Humira, and I already owed Caremark 0. Hard to come up with that co-pay.

So... they told me they would forward my file to the pharmacy that excepts medicaid and they will get back to me before closing. So, I wait and wait and wait for phone call until closing and nothing. I was gone Thursday and Friday. SO, I just figured I missed there call.

Well, I was to have my shot Friday.... and boy I can feel it, but I figured it was my fault so did not complain much.

So, I called today to see if they got my account all set up and to where it was going thru medicaid and all. The lady tells me she just received my account file today and will review it and will get back to me.

I do not know how long it is going to take before they get back to me about it, I am hoping today. I am really starting to swell, and hurt and really achey.

SO... it probably will not be until wed, or thurs, or the lastest friday before I get my Humira.

So sorry and feeling for you.  Hugs, girl you need them.

Oh they lady that is handling my file, called me back and told me my co-pay was going to . I was like "What? Do you have my medicaid information? It is only suppose to be like ." She said no all she had was BC/BS. SO, I gave her the info and the 800# to call. And she has not called me back since.

It truely sucks to have to go thru all this crap. When I went thru wal-mart there was none of this crap to set up my medicaid for the specialty pharamacy. If it would not cost double the co-pay (0), I would go back to wal-mart for my humira.

Every since I HAD to change over to CareMark it has always been a hassel, and nothing ever gets straightened out. They have yet to reimburse me my for overdrafting me on my checking account. I just let it go, as I did fax them my bank statement where they overdrafted me after I told the woman not to charge my check card and I would send in a check, which my mom was to give me a check to send in. Instead I had to deposit it into my checking account because they overdrafted me!

Banks & Pharmacies are all damn dirty ass bastards!!!

Sounds pretty crappy all the way around. I also agree:

Banks & Pharmacies are all damn dirty ass bastards!!!

After all the Bull I hope the Humara make you feel great.(If and when you get it.)

Thanks Jay

Anyways... life sucks.

Ooooh Joonie:

I had such problems with CareMark too!  I had to come to Korea with a years worth of meds.  That was NAMEBRAND Minocin, painkillers in case of flares, Allegra D... a few other things too that I can't remember.  It was a ton of stuff.  It can be hard to get a prescription here for things diagnosed in the US.

Well, I had my scripts and called in the order because there are restrictions on some of the meds which needed an override due to the special circumstances.

I spent over an hour on phone with CareMark.  I also sent the scripts having scanned them just in case.

When I got the shipment, it was generic minocycline, double the narcotic script (an extra 500 pills), half of the Allegra D...

I called and the girl actually said they had screwed up so bad that I should get them filled directly from my pharmacy.  Since I didn't have the original scripts that wasn't going to happen quick. I couldn't believe she didn't want to fix it.

Luckily, hubby works for a large company so I called him and vented about CareMark.  He called his company's contact that handled CareMark and they were shocked at our treatment and told us that they have many complaints about CareMark. They did intervene at get it all straightened out with less than a week before we moved.

It was the first and only time I have dealt with CareMark but I would NEVER use them again just because of what happened to me. We have found out too, that my husband company no longer uses them. Makes me go hmmmmm.

I wish I could help! Is there someone at hubby's job that could intervene. That's what helped us out soo much!

No, probably not. We are not even on a BC/BS plan for our own state. I would have to probably contact someone in Tennessee. Which the last time I tried to contact BC/BS of TN, the phones just rang and rang and rang the first day and then the second day I tried to contact BC/BS of TN, I got automated stuff and then "If you would like to make a call please hang up and try again."
