How are you feeling today? I've thought about you a lot this weekend. Did you get some much needed rest?

Hi Mona, thanks for asking!!

Gosh, I am so sorry Michele.  I think you need to do what is right for you.  You may need to find out from a lawyer how to best protect you credit history.  This is so scary on top of being sick out of your mind.  Be careful with the BP, k.

Gentle hugs and do what YOU need to do.

Oh goodness Micheleb what a mess!! I don't know what I'd do

Well dh has got to quit being pissy and grow up so you two can make some headway into straightening all this out. This is your life too, remind him. I'll be praying for you all and I hope you don't go into a major flare from all this added stress. Let us know what the Dr says and keep us updated.

It's none of my business but just a thought, maybe you can suggest that dh get a job and work on his music repair in the evenings until he gets things going financially again. You shouldn't and are not able to work two jobs. Michele, that's sounds like a terrible mess hubby has put you both in. It's gonna take, but he's gotta stop being pissy - you didn't do anything wrong! I would be very hesitant to quit a job to help him with his business. I can barely work our remote too, so I really feel for you. Please take care of yourself and keep the stress down which in turn will keep  your bp down and hopefully ward off a flare... I hope things turn around soon!So sorry to hear this Michelle.  Unfortunately, since you are married and there is no LLC, it is a personal business and both of yours.  I spent years cleaning up the mess my ex made AFTER we divorce.  I too have a small business and if a person is not doing the "business" end of the business, it is just a hobby.

It sounds like he is good at the actual audio part so maybe he should work for someone who is good at the business part and take a salary for the actual skill he has.  There is nothing wrong with not having a business head, unless you are trying to run a business.  I think you should contact the state, it is your income that is involved.  Good luck with all! Thanks girls.  I am definitely feeling overwhelmed.  We haven't had much time to discuss too much yet but I asked him to write out a list of who he owes what to and who owes him so we can see just were we are.  I have no idea if we are talking ,000 or ,000!!  I tried to talk a little this morning, in a casual way, over cereal and I am just not getting straight answers.

The economy here in Detroit well, frankly, sucks as it does in many places right now.  He worked for a private, small company for many years, doing the same thing he is doing now and they closed.  Than, he went to work for a sound planning company, it was a union job and was pretty good util he got laid off after 6 or 8 months.  That makes him low man on the totem pole and there are over 1000 workers ahead of him on the seniority list.  What he does is pretty specialized so its not like there are a lot of places to chose from.  Even all the factory jobs are laying off.  I doubt he could find anything and if he did, its not going to pay much.  I hope I don't sound like I am making excuses for him, believe me, if there was a job out there, I would make him check into it.  I have looked myself on some of the on line job sites for his sort of work and nadda.  I will be sure to buy a paper this Sunday and look there as well.

My job is rather cushy in that I work for an optometrist who is only here 2 half days and one full day.  It does get real busy at times but for the most part, its pretty easy.  My boss though is an asshole, he is an uncaring bigot and just not a ice person.  I have worked for him for almost 9 years, have no 401 or pension or retirement, he still thinks I should only be allowed 5 vacation days after 9 years and I have not had a raise in over 3 years.

Working from home would be easier on my but would my hubby be able to make up my lost paycheck every week???  There is no way to answer that to my knowledge.

Its all just such a mess.  All at the time time I a trying to wean off a lot of medications and still have no clear answer as to what is wrong with me.  My head is swimming and I just can't figure it all out.  I see the old rheumy this Thursday and will be sure to post a update as to what she says!  Thanks for everyone advice, keep it coming!! Hi again Michelle,

I really feel for you, it just upsets a life that already has a lot of upsets.  My husband was laid off in Feb. of this year and it is tense.  Even though we had worked for many years to make sure we were debt free and had savings, going without a paycheck is difficult.

Are you tied down to the area you live in?  My husband is a software engineer, but  has become specialized in non destructive testing equipment (don't ask, I am not really sure what exactly he does
