Some resources to help us out.

Ever get into a crunch and have an emergency situation?  This site is for people who can normally pay rent/mortgage, utilities, etc. but have run into an emergency situation that was an unexpected expense.  It also provides help for people that are returning to work and people on a limited fixed income (such as disability, pensions, etc) afford a small irregular expense that would improve quality of life (such as a wheelchair, walker, etc.) or a short term emergency situation.  http://www.modestneeds.org/

Need some advocacy for access to care (insurance issues), job retention, or debt crisis?  There is also a link there for Co-Pay Relief. http://www.patientadvocate.org/index.php

Thanks Gramma!  What excellent resources.  I will be showing my husband the one "modest needs".  It reminds me of programs that only cost a few hundred dollars and help women in underdeveloped countries start there own businesses.  I often buy beads from these small women owned companies.  I have been in the position of deciding between the light bill and food and it is a horrible place to be.  I was helped by others an would certainly like to find ways to give back now other than our tithe.  It is funny how the math works, subtract kids (getting out of college) and it adds income
