So it's always been annoying to me that October would be the tenth month when it clearly has a prefix that means eight. I mean why? Why would that be? I mentioned this to my bro and he says, as though this is common knowledge, and maybe it is but I didn't happen to know it, that that's cuz of the Ceasers. I'm just like, oh yeah, of course it's the Ceasers. According to my bro, Julius and Augustus wanted months named after them so they put July and August in the calendar moving October, which had been the eighth month, back to the tenth month!!! So now I don't have to think about that anymore. Not that I was losing sleep or anything. I'm not THAT weird.
So there is a bit of info for anyone that was wondering about that. Katie...you knew that??? I must have skipped that class. Next time I'll just come straight to you You know WHY I knew it though? Cause I'm an October baby. When it's your birth month, and it doesn't make sense, you start to ask questions. LOL That's funny, cuz so is my brother!!LOL We Libra's like to be informed, what can I say. Oh my gosh!! That's hilarious cuz my bro knows everything. Not in the obnoxious know-it-all way. But if a topic interests him, he learns about it inside and out. He's cool.
Ok... I must admit, that I did not even notice october was even like that.
What bothers me is that my son is born in october and not august. Now we have a screwed up cycle. Here is what I mean:
Hubby - May (oldest)
Me - June (2nd oldest)
Daughter - July (3rd oldest)
Son - October ????
Yeah, we tried for august but something did not go as planned
Oh and I mostl notice things that are out of place.
Yeah, well, join the club. But maybe when my son and his wife have a baby they'll stick Linda in there somewhere. Now I'm getting all excited. They better not let me down.
True story: I have a friend who was born on Valentine's Day and her first daughter was born on Valentine's day and has a raspberry heart shaped birthmark on her leg. Amazing! Awwww!! how awesome!!!! Cute touch from the gene pool. Who knew those little guys were swimming around all romantic and smushy???LMAO Oh man, that brought tears to my eyes.........you have no idea the mental images that conjured.....Okay...1-never noticed it about oct..but that is cool. How about the other months..? Anyone know where those names came from?
