How's that for an attention getting topic?

I took the FIRST pill of Lexapro today, and it's already slowly kicking in. I know this because just like last time I started on it I began the day with several hours of incredible grogginess. That was followed by the sensation that someone had dumped 80 gallons of coffee in me - jitters, speed talking etc etc. Now, I'm HAPPY, way way way happy, unaturally happy.

LOL But all is well!! I'll go for a few days like this, 5 at the most, and then suddenly I'll just be this nice calm person who doesn't spaz out over every little thing. No jitters, no fatigue, no little aches and pains, and no over-zealous happiness.

AND I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!

They always tell me "It can take two weeks for it to kick in..." but with me already feeling this way, I'll be a happy little camper by next Wednesday!

Is anyone else a medication SPONGE like I am? Meds work super fast and super hard on you? I always half the doses docs give me because it's too strong! And yep, you guessed it, I've halved the Lexapro....but she agreed with me on that one, after I explained to her how well I react to medications.

I'm only on 5mg!

*does a dance* I just had to share, and see if anyone else reacts like I do to medication (overwhelmingly well)

thats great!!!!!!!!!! haha i dont react like that at all... most of the time i feel nothing. although flexeril i did half the dose... haha and narcotic stuff i half them just cause of the awfull grossness i get with them..

thats great news be happy hahaYAY Katie!!!  It's good to see you smiling

Glad you are on your way to happy camper land

Glad your happy.  Gosh, what would MM think about your present state of mind?

Hmm...

I'd probably scare him...........hahahahaha I scare Justin. Or so he tells me. (He's totally kidding, but its cute when he says it - he goes "oh my GOD you freak me out!!" Hahaha)
Gosh, you are so darn cute it's not even funny!!  Yea, I think they would all be freaking out if they "could see you now."  Enjoy it and I am glad that you have something that will help and you will eventually come back down to earth.

Katie,

I am a weanie when it comes to meds, pain pills and muscle relaxers hit me like a rock and then I can't seem to wake up out of them for an extra long time.  If I take an Oxaspam, I have to take it early in the afternoon if I have to work the next day.  My Rheumy put me on Requip to take the place of Flexeril and I take a whole one of them them though.  I wonder if I have a type of allergic reaction to the ones that hit me like a rock.  Pain killers eventually give me the itches then a rash.  Drugs, can't live with them, can't live without them...Just dance gently Katie!!  Maybe a slow waltz or something!! Go Katie, woman. Good to see you with a happy moment with all you are going through. I think I am probably the opposite of you. Enjoy.
