I remember doing the same thing with Helter Skelter years ago. Everyone was reading it, so I decided I had to also. I read it all the way through, but boy did it have a negative impact on me. Nope, not going to do that again.
Hillhoney, Try the secret life of Bees. I know what you mean Hill, thats why I can't read it all at one time and switch to the funny book "Shes Come Undone". It is sad but not scary like Helter Skelter was to me . That book and The Amytville Horror books scared me worse than the movies
