Itchiness - naproxen? | Arthritis Information

I've been taking 1000mg naproxen a day for several weeks now.  In between flares I can just get away with just fish oil, exercise and rest, so I haven't had to use any anti-inflammatories for a while.  Anyway, for the past several days I've been itchy all over.  No rash, no wheezing, no other symptoms - just itchy.  In addition, the weather in the Chicago area has been hot and humid for the past couple of weeks - the upstairs of my house (where I spend most of my time) is not air-conditioned, and it is like Satan's armpit up here. I am sweating right now just sitting in front of the computer.  So perhaps I'm just itchy because of the heat.  But itching is listed as a common side effect of naproxen as well.  Any thoughts? Hmm, could be. When I was on Diclofenac, another anti inflammatory, it made me itch so much I broke blood vessels beneath my skin, and it looked as though I had the meningitis rash (my doc nearly fell off his chair when he saw it till I assured him it was from scratching so much!)

Naproxen just gave me mouth ulcers from hell (looked like someone had taken a hole punch to the sides of my tongue)
