Moderator , Is there one? | Arthritis Information

 

Isn't there a moderator that can delete posts that could possibly be poronographic? I haven't opened the post from Larryflynt but the subject line suggests **o. Really, who would one report something like this?

Sadly there is no moderator on this board.  there  is supposedly an owner, but no one ever replies to queries or complaints..

 

I guess its "open at your own risk" and have to minimize button handy

Hey one more post and you become Senior Member Did you leave that board because of the "troll"?  What do they do, just go on and insult people?cskalski, we've had a real troll or two on this board, and by troll I don't mean
a member that other members are arguing with but an actually stranger just
here to disrupt (m0dr8er would be an example), but everyone just eventually
ignored them and they went away. Trolls just want attention so if they don't
get it they go elsewhere. So in a sense I guess this board is self-moderating.Just bump up lower threads and send unwelcome ones off the front page. I've never seen such a huge web site w/ message boards that have no moderators. Maybe I'm just a virgin to the real workings of cyberspace. A virgin at forty somthing, that's rich! I'm probably in the minority, but I like that there's no moderator here. I started using this board because I was on another board and they deleted my post about medical marijuana. Moderators are just human and they take sides and impose their own opinions on people, so really they're kind of like message board dictators. This board is more democratic.

I also like that this board is not moderated.  Pretty much for the same reasons Gimpy stated.  

If there's any content I don't like, I just skip it and go on to what I'm interested in.

I like that people can state their opinions and not have them deleted because someone doesn't agree with them.

Sure some topics can get heated, but hey...that's life.  If you don't want to be involved then you go on to what interests you.

 

It seems like the board is ok without a moderator.  Sometimes all of the off-topic nonsense bothers me, but then I just skip over it.

 

 LOL matthew, you mean you don't like to here about all us women giving TMI about personal bodily functions or is it that you just don't like to hear about hog killing, eating raw testicles, the weather, dumba** hubbies, vacation plans, our kids, cars, lives in general,etc...

 

Sheesh Mona........you make us sound like a buncha rednecks.....LOL
