I am NOT Fed up anymore!! | Arthritis Information

screw it!! I do not want my Humira anymore. life sucks!

I was to get my replacement humira today right? Well, I put a note on the door that said "I am home, ring door bell." Well, the batteries for the door bell are dead, as MIL & daughter have demonstrated for me just about 10 mins ago.

That means I have missed the damn FEDEx guy and my humira is probably sitting in his hot truck spoiling as I type this! The company who is shipping my Humira is not using good ice packs, they are made of styrofoam and melt really really easily. And with this 100 degree weather, they do not last long. They do not pack it like the other caremark company does, in a box that says perishable, with a styrofoam encased block with 2 water/gel ice packs and with a 1-800# to call if the person is not home to let the driver know it needs to be kept cool.

Now, this one too is probably Fukked up and I am not even going to call the poor company and tell them. I am just going to give up!

Yes, people I am quiter.

joonie39308.5234722222Ugh - that really sucks!

Joonie, call your local branch of Fed Ex quick.  Explain the situation and they may come back out to deliver to you.  Emphasize the medical need involved, and be really sweet (I know you can do it)!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed.  Don't be giving up yet girl!

Joonie you can't give up!!! We won't let you. Do what Hill suggested, it may still be ok. Sorry hun

I did call the pharmacy that is handling all of this, but they are gone to lunch.

Oh well....

what about calling the 800 number and see if they can help you

Well, I called the pharmacy back again, and they said they contacted FEDex and it should be here between now and 4:30pm. They said they packaged it in an ice chest inside a box when they shipped it this time.

Here is to hoping!

More than likely I did miss them the first go around. They usually deliver in my area around 9-11 am, so I probably did miss the FEDex guy.

I am going to have a panic attack and run into a wall to knock myself out. This is sooo frustrating!

Joonie,

Sorry you are having such a hard time today.  Is the note the standard fed ex note because sometimes on the back or the front there may be a phone number to call.  I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that this delivery of Humira arrives and is fine.

Now that is how it is suppose to be packaged!! The ice packs were not melted, STILL FROZEN! And my Humira was nice and cold!!

Theey used a different type of ice pack this time... water/gel and put it in a styrofoam block like the other pharmacy did!! YAY!!!

I am happy! I was soo stressed out about another shipment being freaked up and having to call the company again. I even sent the other one back all in one trip YAY!!

Oh Joonie,

I'm so glad that worked out this time.  Yeah!

Me too, me too. Now I can have a bright cheery day again, like I was before I got upset and got panicky and raised my voice at poor MIL ... and hung up on hubby after yelling at him ... OPPS!!

I blame the pred. Yay joonie, I'm happy it all worked out. poor hubby and MIL, oh well. you can make it up to them by doing the happy dance

SHEEEWWWEEE! I'm so happy now HI Joonie, you really keep me entertained, I am sorry to laugh, I am so glad things worked out but hang in there and NEVER give up, best of luck, Janie.

WOW! Good thing that new pharmacy learned how to package Humira for shipping in the summer time.

We took the door bell button off the door frame because it was broken and replaced it with an old fashioned brass knocker. I don't think it will ever break, or wear out, or need a battery.
