Hi my friends,

I've been out of town, at work, or at a doctors appointment for several weeks and have missed this wonderful message board.

I went to a wonderful rhumetoligist earlier this week, wonderful sense of humor and so nice to talk to.  It was kind of awkard, I told him, because I had virtually no pain the morning I went.  He delt with that with a good sense of humor and said.."don't worry, you will eventually".  So, he must have been used to it all.

Basically my first eval came up as some pretty normal arthritis for my age along with something called hypermobility...with a tish of scholesis.  Well, it all sort of confused me but they at least didn't tell me that it was my imagination.  I think that was my worst fear.

We have a game plan of PT to teach me some weight training which will not hurt my body but build muscle.  That's good.  Then they want to me go to a heated pool three times a week but I don't know where I'm going to find one yet.  I'll just have to check around.  Hardest part is that I am about 25 pounds over weight and they want that gone.. Guess I'll just have to buckel down and do it!

Anyway, thank you all for keeping me optomistic about things.  Have any of you had this type of evaluation before?  And how did it work out for you?

Also, I have one more epidural spinal injection next week and then we will see how that helps the over all situation.  So far so good for me.

Hi Gem.  I don't know how your post went unanswered.  I just noticed it

WELCOME BACK!!

Sounds like you found a great doc.  I wish I had someone like that.  I'm getting a little annoyed with mine.  I need to loose way more than 25 pounds and my doc hasn't said a word about it.  If you get the results you want from your doc, then he/she is a keeper.  The keepers are hard to find.
