Tinker,

According to www.snopes.com, this isn't true.

Once I dreamed that I was standing on top of a building and all the planets in our solar system were revolving around the Earth and coming so close to me that I could almost touch them. It probably doesn't sound that cool, but it was really one of the coolest dreams I have ever had in my life.  I wish I could have it again.

Cheers kweenbe, that saves me staying up late

I'm kicking myself for missing the Perseids, it was really good by all accounts

Actually, if you read the snopes article all the way, you'll see that it isn't 100% false.

Mars can be seen every two years, and as snopes accounts the last time was 2003....that means we'll see it in 05, 07, 09....oh wait! It's 07!! I can't tell you what month you'll see it, as in 05 it was in October (I love stars, YES I remember this) But it will NOT be as big as the moon. It is simply a very large and yellowish colored star that sits very close to the moon.

So enjoy knowing you can look at mars every 2 years!

I'm going to be star gazing over the next couple of weeks as I'll be away from the big bad city. I love that feeling of being in a giant colander
