Do you have morning stiffness?

Yes.  It usually only lasts a few minutes unless I'm flaring, then it can last for hours.

Do you have visible swelling? If, so when you swell is it warm to the touch?

I very seldom have visible swelling.  When I do have swelling, it seems the pain isn't as severe as when I don't swell.  I do have warmth regardless of visible swelling.

Are you sero-negative?

Seropositive.

kweenb39310.0910648148Stiffness: Normally just 15 minutes or so in my hands and feet in the morning.  If I am having a flare-up, it can last an hour or more.

Visible swelling:  There are times when I cannot wear my wedding ring because my fingers are too puffy, and my toes look and feel puffed up if I'm having a flare-up OR if I've eaten too much salt.  My hands and feet are ALWAYS hot.  I can't stand to wear shoes - even in the winter time because my feet are so hot.  I love to walk barefoot through the snow (as long as it's not ungodly cold out).

And I am seronegative.

Yes, I'm stiff in the a.m. I usually stay in bed for about 15 min before getting out. Make coffee, and veg-out on couch for another 30 before getting ready for the day. My hands, feet, and knees get warm. Last night I was holding a really cold can of soda, boy, that felt wonderful!!

I'm still in testing stage so I'm not sure if I'm seronegative, I'm not sure what it means actually...

Yes, I am really stiff in the morning.  I am so glad I have a four poster bed so I can hold onto the posts to help me get up and planted on my feet.

Yes, I do have swelling, in my knees, fingers and ankles.  No, there is no heat involved.

Yes, I have morning stiffness.

Yes, I have visible swelling mostly in my ankles and I have no idea if it's warm to the touch because I can't reach my feet.

I have no idea if I'm sero-negative or not however I will be sure to ask my new RD when I get my first appointment.

Yeah, I'm stiff in the morning, but definitly for less than an hour.  I'm also stiff if I've been sitting, like driving or something, for awhile.

I am seronegative and yes, when I swell my skin is very warm.

Do you have morning stiffness?  Yes it lasts fom 1/2 hr to all day.

Do you have visible swelling? If, so when you swell is it warm to the touch?  I do have swelling but usually in one area for a few days then it just moves. Off and On as far as being warm.

Are you sero-negative?  I have no idea if I'm sero-negative or not.

Do you have morning stiffness?  Yes, usually lasts for about an hour, has to do with damage.  If flaring can be much longer up to 3 hours.

Do you have visible swelling? If, so when you swell is it warm to the touch? Yes, wrists, fingers, r. ankle, across tops of feet, legs. Some days no others yes.

Are you sero-negative? Positive

Do you have morning stiffness?  Yes, but usually only lasts about  10 or 15 minutes.

Do you have visible swelling? Yes, right now my right ankle is swollen, my right hand, and the top of my left foot. If, so when you swell is it warm to the touch? It seems to feel alittle warm to me.

Are you sero-negative? I'm not sure yet. I have my first appointment with the Rhumatoloigist tomorrow morning.

Do you have morning stiffness?  Yes, for a few minutes unless in a bad flare then it is all morning.

Do you have visible swelling? If, so when you swell is it warm to the touch?  Yes at times and yes at times.

Are you sero-negative?  Yes.

Do you have morning stiffness? Yep. It varies A LOT too. Some days it's 15 mins, others is 2 hours. The longer it is, the worse of I feel in general, and the more out of control things are

Do you have visible swelling? If, so when you swell is it warm to the touch? Sometimes, but not nearly as often as I DON'T. But it is always warm when I'm in pain and flaring, swelling or not.

Are you sero-negative? Yuppers.

i am seronegative, morning stiffness for at least an hour, lots of pain but very little swelling.

Do you have morning stiffness? Yes, but if I take my pred before I go to bed in the early mornings, it only lasts 10-15 mins. If I take my pred too early at night, it will take me an hour to all day to get the joints to moving again.

Do you have visible swelling? If, so when you swell is it warm to the touch? Something is ALWAYS swelled on me, even when I am on Humira. Most times I do not really notice my joints warm, until I notice I am having a hard time using them because they are swelled. Like my right elbow is swelled and warm, having trouble moving it and it hurts when I do move it.

Are you sero-negative? Do not know, will ask new RD when I see her, but I am thinking my other RD said I was still negative as of '06.

Yes I am always stiff in am. At least 15 minutes of real difficulty moving, walking, holding anything with my hands. It can last for hours.  It likes to come back whenever I sit still.

Yes there is visable swelling. Some of it is OA and boney enlargement (since age 40). Sometimes joints are hot, sometimes not. Swelling can last years and then go away - the base joints of my fingers used to be very swollen. But not for the last 15 years...I can see it in old photos.

Yes I'm sero-negative STILL!

Do you have morning stiffness?

Yep. When flaring it can last anywhere from 90 mins to all day. Right now it's the lowest it's ever been with about 30 mins of mild stiffness. Get evening stiffness too.

Do you have visible swelling? If, so when you swell is it warm to the touch?

Yep and yep. I swell so much my RD normally can't believe my inflammation numbers don't match my level of puffiness. When I'm swelling my joints get warm (about the only time I have warm hands!) but once swollen they go cold again.

Are you sero-negative?

Nope, Seropositive.

I am stiff on and off all day and have swelling in my feet most of time and in hands and fingers if i use them a mlot tHAT DAYAND

NO I am seropositive last test my rf rating was a 408

Do you have morning stiffness?  Yes, usually lasts for about an hour.  Somedays it will last on and off all day.

Do you have visible swelling? If, so when you swell is it warm to the touch? Yes, wrists, knuckles/fingers, ankles.  At this point, my swelling has not gone away for roughly 5 months. I don't feel any warmth, but now they look purple?

Are you sero-negative? no idea. No firm diagnosis yet.

Do you have morning stiffness? Yes I do.  It lasts for about 2 hours.

Do you have visible swelling? If, so when you swell is it warm to the touch? Yup.  Hands, fingers, ankles, knees, elbows, fun!

Are you sero-negative? Yup!

Yes, I have morning stiffness and sometimes swelling nearly every morning, but since it only lasts about 15 minutes the RD says it's not indicative of RA.  My fingers swell occasionally but no warmth.  Even the nodule on my pinky finger does not mean RA according to the RD, but possibly osteo instead.  Strangely, from what I've read here, some people have been clearly diagnosed with RA having the same symptoms as I, while my RD seems to accept only a strict list of symptoms/bloodwork to confirm it.  Fortunately, he's giving me the RA drugs anyway to counteract the autoimmune issues he does think I have.  This "undifferentiated" business is a pain (no pun intended).  Not that I want to have RA or lupus, but if I really do have one of those (or both) and have to be treated like I have it anyway, why can't I have a clear label of what it is?  Not the doctor's fault, I know, but annoying anyway.  Sorry for the rant.  I get frustrated looking for answers.  Thanks for "listening."

yes I have morning stiffness - sometimes only an hour, but usually up to 3.

Sometimes I have swelling, but my joints that hurt are always hot. My rheumy usually detects swelling I don't even realize I have. I havent been able to wear my wedding ring for more than 6 mo. It has a gorgeous 1 1/4 carat diamond.  :(

I'm sero-negative...

Yes to stiffness in morning and can vary in length. Sometimes 30 min others can be all day....like today.....

I have swelling in my knuckles, knees, and ankles/feet

Sero-negative

I also have morning stiffness most days will last at least an hour, on really bad days it will last all day.

I have swelling in my hands, fingers, knees and feet around my toes.

Sero-negative.

Sandra

Yes, I have morning stiffness. Lasts about an hour or until I get moving.  But, my stiffness comes back at night or if I sit too long at the desk.

I usually get swelling in my index fingers, the balls of my feet and the toe next to my big toe.  I only get redness or heat from flares but sometimes I get mini flares like just one finger.

I am seropositive.

I don't know what seropositive is. My rheumy tells me nothing it seems. I know I have confirmed RA, and have had it since 2001.

I have had severe stiffness in the morning but prednisone 10mg killed a lot of it. The main symptom I have is severe pain in my feet due to swelling/nerve damage due to bones moving.

seropositive just means that your blood shows rheumatoid factor. I'm seronegative.  I sort of wish I was positive though, because being negative always leaves an opening for...maybe I don't really have it, and it messes with my mind.

I have swelling that is visible to me almost all the time.  About half the time it is enough to be visible to others.

I am seronegative.

Yes, I always have morning stiffness and swelling in hands, feet, ankles, elbows, and toes.  They are always warm to touch and the swelling lasts anywhere from three hours to all day.

It is always very visible.

I have PA, so there is no seronegative or positive.

My morning stiffness dosnt last to long.  I take my pred as soon as I wake up and it usually lasts maybe 45mins to an hr at the most, depending on what the weather is like.  When I was first dxd though it was absolulty HELL in the mornngs.  I had a newborn and was working full time. At that time I was working with my mom and my hubby was staying home with our daughter so my mom would come and pick me up every morning for we only had 1 car at that time.  We lived on the 2nd floor of a condo building and there was only about 20 stairs but at that time, since they hadnt put me on Pred yet those stairs felt like it was 20 flights of stairs instead.  It was really hard in the begining but once they found the right meds for me it got a little better.  The swelling I have mostly in my hands and in my feet.  Some days my hands are really swollen, I havent been able to wear my wedding ring for a while now, its sad I really wish i could.
